摘要： A rotating electromagnetic apparatus has a stator frame supporting spaced apart pairs of permanent magnets which are arranged with like magnetic poles mutually facing. A toroidally shaped rotor frame is radially wound with a plurality of wire coils immersed within slots in the in rotor frame, the slots positioned adjacent to the opposing magnets. An electromechanical commutator is used to direct current between an outside source or sink through brushes to rotating multiple contacts simultaneously. The brushes are triangular in cross section. The coils may be connected in series or parallel interconnection.

摘要： Brushless repulsion motors are presented, in which rotor coils switching signal detectors are selectively located in spaced angular relationship on the rotor and signaling sources are distributed around all or most of the stator circumference to allow looser tolerances for motor manufacturing and improved controllability of rotor coil actuation during operation. Asymmetric stator poles are also provided for brushless repulsion motors to mitigate torque ripple and vibration, in which the shape of the stator pole tips is tailored by varying the angular length of the pole section.

摘要： A pair of stators produce a magnetic field within a space between them. a ferromagnetic toroidal rotor is rotationally mounted within the magnetic field. A plurality of windings are wound radially on the rotor and each winding provides a plurality of coils. Each of coils is interconnected through a switch, the switch configured for placing each of the coils within each winding alternatively in one of an electrical series connection, an electrical parallel connection, and an electrically isolated connection, so that when operated as a generator, a selected output voltage and current are produced by rotor rotation and when operated as a motor a selected output speed and torque are produced.

摘要： A commutator motor having excellent performance of preventing coils from being burnt at overload can operate from either AC or DC power sources. This commutator comprises an iron core having plural slots, a rotation shaft inserted in a center of the iron core, and a pair of first and second commutators mounted on the rotation shaft at opposite ends of the iron core. A first coil wire is connected to the first commutator, and is wound on bottoms of the slots to form an inner coil. A second coil wire having a smaller diameter than the first coil wire is connected to the second commutator, and is wound on the inner coil in the slots to form an outer coil.

The oil lubricated compressor can have a brushed or brushless universal motor which can drive a cooling fan and a pump. The universal motor can achieve a high torque to voltage ratio, as well as a high torque to current ratio, upon starting or re-starting of the compressor. Optionally, the oil lubricated compressor can use a single cooling fan disposed in the compressor at a location which is between the universal motor and a cylinder head of the pump.

The stator core has at least two poles with the stator windings wound thereon and a yoke connecting the poles. Each pole has a neck and a pole shoe forming a continuous pole arc facing the rotor. The ratio of the diameter of the motor to the width of the stator core measured across the poles is between 0.65˜0.95.
