    Abstract: An elastic wave device includes a piezoelectric substrate, and elastic wave elements on the piezoelectric substrate and including IDT electrodes, respectively. The IDT electrode of a first of the elastic wave elements includes first and second busbars, and the IDT electrode of a second of the elastic wave elements includes third and fourth busbars. The second busbar and the third busbar extend parallel or substantially parallel to each other, and are spaced by a gap in a direction perpendicular or substantially perpendicular to an elastic-wave propagating direction. Each of the second and third busbars includes first and second electrode layers at least a portion of which is laminated on the first electrode layer. The second electrode layer of the second busbar is cut in at least one location in a direction crossing the elastic-wave propagating direction.

    Abstract: An acoustic resonator assembly and a filter are disclosed. The acoustic resonator assembly includes at least two acoustic resonators vertically connected to each other. The acoustic resonator includes: an acoustic mirror, a bottom electrode layer, a piezoelectric layer, and a top electrode layer that are arranged on a substrate. An active area of the acoustic resonator is defined by an overlapping area of the acoustic mirror, the bottom electrode layer, the piezoelectric layer, and the top electrode layer. The acoustic resonator further includes a support layer arranged on the substrate or the piezoelectric layer on a periphery of a projection of the acoustic mirror on the substrate. The at least two acoustic resonators are vertically connected to each other through the support layer. The filter significantly reduces the volume and the area of a device, improves design freedom and reduces design difficulty, enhances product performance and greatly reduces costs.

    Abstract: In a filter device, first and second filter sections are connected in parallel between an input terminal and an output terminal. The first filter section is a longitudinally coupled resonator-type elastic wave filter including first and second inter-stage wiring lines with a two-stage cascading connection. The second filter section is a longitudinally coupled resonator-type elastic wave filter including third and fourth inter-stage wiring lines with a two-stage cascading connection. The phases of signals flowing in the third inter-stage wiring line and the second inter-stage wiring line are inverse. Terminal portions of an interdigital transducer electrode connected to the second inter-stage wiring line and an interdigital transducer electrode connected to the third inter-stage wiring line that are connected to a potential that is not a hot-side potential are connected by a virtual ground wiring line. A hot-side wiring portion that is adjacent to the virtual ground wiring line is disposed on an insulating film provided on the piezoelectric substrate.

    Abstract: In an elastic wave filter device, a first filter including a first pass band and a second filter including a second pass band are common-connected at a common connection point. The first filter includes, on the common connection point side, a serial arm resonator, a parallel arm resonator, or a longitudinally coupled resonator-type elastic wave filter, and generates a fundamental wave and a high-order mode. A resonant frequency of the high-order mode on a higher frequency side relative to the first pass band of the first filter is smaller than the second pass band. On the common connection point side, a serial arm resonator in which the resonant frequency is not the highest, a parallel arm resonator, or a longitudinally coupled resonator-type elastic wave filter, is disposed.

    Abstract: An elastic wave device includes first and second longitudinally coupled resonator elastic wave elements aligned on a piezoelectric substrate. A second reflector of the first longitudinally coupled resonator elastic wave element and a third reflector of the second longitudinally coupled resonator elastic wave element are adjacent to each other in an elastic wave propagation direction. A ground interconnection extends in a direction intersecting with the elastic wave propagation direction and in a region between the second reflector and the third reflector. A gap in one portion of the ground interconnection includes a different acoustic velocity portion where an acoustic velocity is different from an acoustic velocity in another portion of the ground interconnection.

    Abstract: An elastic wave device includes an IDT provided on a piezoelectric substrate. The IDT includes edge areas in which an elastic wave propagation velocity is slower than an elastic wave propagation velocity in a center area of an electrode finger intersecting region. The edge areas are provided on both sides of the center area in an intersecting width direction. The IDT includes a first section where the propagation velocity in the center area is relatively fast and a second section where the propagation velocity in the center area is relatively slow in the elastic wave propagation direction. In accordance with the propagation velocities in the center areas of the first and second sections, the widths and propagation velocities in the edge areas of the first and second sections excite a piston mode.

    Abstract: A surface acoustic wave (SAW) resonator is provided with reduced rattling at frequencies lower than the resonance value. The SAW resonator includes an interdigital transducer (IDT) on a piezoelectric substrate. The IDT includes a first set of interdigital electrodes distributed between and parallel to the first end of theIDT and the second end of the IDT and a second set of interdigital electrodes interleaved with the first plurality of interdigital electrodes. A first resonant cavity is formed a predetermined distance from the first end of the IDT, and a second resonant cavity is formed a predetermined distance from the second end of the IDT. A mounting board on which the elastic wave filter is mounted includes a first ground electrode opposed to the transmission circuit; a first rear surface ground electrode overlapped with the transmission circuit in plan view of a rear surface; a second ground electrode opposed to the reception circuit; a second rear surface ground electrode overlapped with the reception circuit in plan view of the rear surface; a line electrode used for connection between the first ground electrode and the second ground electrode; and a first via electrode and a second via electrode passing through the mounting board.
