    摘要: An image scanner for scanning a document along a plurality of scan lines and providing a plurality of print control signal pulses in response to the image density of the document along the scan lines includes a means for projecting a moving document image onto a focal plane and a sensor array positioned in the focal plane. The sensor array includes columns of sensors extending parallel to the direction of image movement and a shift register associated with each column for sensors for shifting electrical outputs from the sensors in the direction of image movement. In a line copy mode of operation, the electrical outputs are shifted at the same rate at the rate of movement of the image such that the given pixel on the image is scanned sequentially by each of the sensors in a column. The electrical outputs are compared with a predetermined reference label to produce a print control signal. In a gray scale mode of operation, the outputs from all of the sensors in a sensor column are accumulated to produce an output related to the average image density of the area scanned by the column of sensors. The electrical outputs resulting from successively scanning overlapping image areas are integrated until a predetermined reference level is reached to produce a print control signal.

    摘要: A picture image of a linear area to be read out of an original picture is projected and focused on a plurality of line sensors. The light flux transmitted through a projecting lens is divided into two light fluxes, along a plane containing the linear area of the original picture and an optical axis of the lens, by a light dividing apparatus disposed at the image side of the projecting lens. The light dividing apparatus thus provides two light fluxes which are projected and focused on respective line sensors. The light dividing apparatus comprises one or two flat mirrors which are so disposed that one side edge of each mirror coincides with or is disposed near to the plane along which the entire light flux is divided into two parts. The reflecting plane or reflecting planes of the mirrors are inclined at desired predetermined angle(s) with respect to the optical axis of the projecting lens in order to project the light onto the light sensors.

    摘要: An optical encoder for scanning a master image at scan points positioned in a plurality of parallel scan rows across the master image includes a means for illuminating the master image. A plurality of photoelectric scanning means, each such scanning means including a row of photoelectric transducers, provides electrical signals in dependence upon the amount of light striking the transducers. Light is directed from the master image by a focusing arrangement toward a first one of the photoelectric scanning means such that the first photoelectric scanning means receives light from an associated one of the scan rows on the master image. An optical diversion means includes one or more half silvered mirrors which divert a portion of the light directed toward the first photoelectric scanning means such that it strikes the others of the plurality of photoelectric scanning means whereby each of the scanning means receives light from an associated one of the plurality of scan rows on the master image.
