Disclosed is disclosed a process for producing a printed wiring board which comprises the steps of: a) exposing a wiring board having at least one photo-conductive layer in which its chargeability is changed by light exposure on at least one surface of a conductive support which comprises an insulating substrate and at least one metal conductive layer provided at least one surface thereof through a resist pattern; b) charging the photoconductive layer to form an electrostatic latent image; c) forming a toner image on the photoconductive layer by toner developing treatment; d) removing a portion of the photoconductive layer to which no toner is attached by dissolution to form a resist image; and e) removing a portion of the metal conductive layer other than a portion where the resist image is formed by etching.

Xeroprinting process comprising(A) exposing imagewise to actinic radiation a photohardenable electrostatic master comprising(1) an electrically conductive substrate, and(2) a layer of photohardenable composition consisting essentially of(a) at least two organic polymeric binders, at least one having a Tg greater than 80.degree. C. and at least one having a Tg less than 70.degree. C.,(b) at least one monomeric compound having at least one ethylenically unsaturated group, and(c) a photoinitiator or photoinitiator system, the shift in transit time (a.sub.T) of the photohardenable layer in the range of 30%.ltoreq.relative humidity.ltoreq.60% and 15.6.degree. C..ltoreq.temperature .ltoreq.26.7.degree. C. is 15 or less, preferably 10 or less(B) charging the photohardenable master electrostatically,(C) applying an oppositely charged electrostatic toner, and(D) transferring the toned image to a receptor surface. The xenoprinting process uses the master in graphic arts, color proofing which duplicates images produced by printing, preparation of printed circuit boards, resists, soldermasks, etc.

Printing forms or metallized images can be prepared electrophotographically by a process comprising the electrostatic chargeup, imagewise exposure and tonering of a photoconductor layer applied to an electroconductive base material, followed by fixing of the tonered image areas, removal of the photoconductive layer in the non-image areas by decoating and, where appropriate, etching of the bared base material surface. A recording material is used that comprises a photoconductive layer containing at least one organic n-conducting pigment in a concentration between 10 and 50 percent by weight and an organic p-conducting photoconductor in a concentration of 0 to 20 percent by weight, based on the layer weight, together with a binder which is soluble or dispersible in aqueous-alkaline solution. The decoating is carried out with an aqueous-alkaline decoater solution, which preferably contains alkali metal hydroxides and/or phosphates. The decoating is preferably carried out at an elevated temperature, for example, between about 30.degree. to 60.degree. C.
