Abstract:
A tool for measuring seal slot position includes a tool shaft having a longitudinal axis, a pin eccentrically disposed at one end of the tool shaft relative to the longitudinal axis, and a disk member disposed at an opposite end of the tool shaft that facilitates rotation of the tool shaft and pin in the seal slot. The tool provides for increased accuracy in measuring seal slot position such as turbine nozzle seal slot position.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus used for setting the side seal end gap with the corner seal of a rotary engine is described. The apparatus used comprises a micrometer instrument consisting of a cylindrical rod sized to the corner seal aperture and provided with a gradually increasing cam section spaced from the rod and acquiring its maximum thickness in 180*. The cam is sized to measure tolerances up to a total amount up to 0.010 inch in increment of at least 0.005 inch.
Abstract:
An electronic sensor with lever wherein a lever carrying a feeler is pivoted at the end of a casing, the movements of said feeler being transmitted to the movable element of an electronic transducer by means of a reversing mechanism having two levers whereof the first is fixed to the lever carrying the feeler and pivots about the same shaft as the latter, said mechanism being able to move, counter the action of at least one elastic member, the movable element of the transducer in a same direction in response to any displacement of the lever carrying the measuring key effected from a rest position in the two pivotal directions of the lever carrying the feeler.
Abstract:
A garment marking machine includes a lower marker-supporting track supported by a base plate, and a garment-supporting plate positioned and supported above the lower track. An upper marker-supporting track is positioned above the garment-supporting plate by means of posts that extend upwardly from the base plate and through the lower track and the garment-supporting plate. Marker assemblies positioned along the upper and lower marker tracks are used to mark garments processed by the garment marking machine. A marker assembly utilized in the garment marking machine includes a marker cap having a bore, a marker having a marking end disposed through the bore of the marker cap such that only a portion of the marker extends beyond the marker cap, and an adjusting rod operative to move the marking end of the marker through the bore of the marker cap. The bore of the marker cap is sized to tightly hold the marking end of the marker.
Abstract:
A machine tool has a rotatable table with a plurality of lock plates located on the underside thereof at circumferentially spaced locations, and a geneva drive mechanism arranged to coact with the lock plates in rotatably indexing the table. The lock plates are shiftable with respect to the table by means of cooperating pairs of rotatably adjustable eccentric pins. Machine screws releasably fix the lock plates at selected positions of adjustment. The lock plates are shifted and releasably fixed from above the table.
Abstract:
Surgical knife with controllably extendable blade, the blade retained by a blade holder extending through an axial opening in the knife body and connected with a member threadedly retained within the knife body for axial adjustment and also connected to an adjustment knob at the rear end of the knife. Another feature of the knife is a foot configuration which facilitates precise use and control of the knife. Preferably the invention also comprises the knife, as disclosed, in combination with a gauge for visually inspecting blade projection, the gauge indicator consisting of a pair of eccentric circles or portions thereof, the blade projection being measured by comparison with the radial distance between the two circles.
