    摘要: An improved band clamp is provided that employs a punch that forms an indication in the deformed band during locking procedure. More specifically, a punch having at least one shoulder or other indication mechanisms is provided that selectively contacts a band to deform it with respect to a buckle to lock the band and buckle of a band clamp together. The shoulder contemplated thus leaves a mark on the deformed band to quickly provide a visual indication of dimple depth.

The band is preformed with a substantially closed loop of band material to capture a seal to provide a preassembled band and seal wherein the seal is generally inhibited from being dislodged during packing, shipment, handling and installation. The band and seal are also formed in a manner to facilitate relative positioning of the band and seal as well as placement of a crimping tool relative to the band and seal for optimized crimping of the band and seal.

    摘要: A clamping device is provided in the form of a one-piece cable tie. The cable tie includes a band section having a free end for positioning about an object to be constrained, such as an electrical cable, and a buckle section through which the free end of the band section is inserted. In a preferred embodiment, the buckle section includes a first portion operatively connected to the band and terminating adjacent a slot. A second, raised portion of the buckle section is longitudinally or horizontally offset from the first portion. The second portion extends from a point adjacent the aforementioned slot to a free end. The width of the slot occupied by the band is greater when the band is loosely wrapped about the object constrained. The greater width of the slot when the band is loosely wrapped facilitates single or multiple wrappings of the object constrained. Any gaps between the band the object constrained are reduced by positioning only the first portion of the buckle section adjacent the object thereby improving clamping. Lips are also provided on the buckle section to accommodate positioning of the buckle section in a grooved area formed in the object being constrained. The cable tie is preferably made by a machining process in which buckle sections are alternately formed on opposing sides of a sheet of metal material to enhance the use of the material and avoid waste.

    摘要: An undetachable flange joint characterized in that it essentially comprises a pair of semicircular clamp halves of which cross-sectional configuration is designed to tightly fit the outer configuration of a pair of tapered flanges to be joined, said clamp halves having curled portions at their both ends, and two annular links adapted to be engaged around the respective curled end portions so that the pair of flanges are tightly joined to one another by firmly holding the whole flanges by means of the clamp halves under wedging force.A method of manufacturing an undetachable flange joint characterized in that it is practiced by way of the steps of preparing two semicircular clamp halves having a concave cross-sectional configuration by press forming a strip of metal sheet, arranging said clamp halves opposite to one another with their one end part having an annular link hung therearound, allowing said one end part to be subjected to curling operation in such a manner as to encase the annular link in the curled end portion to joint the clamp halves at the one end thereof, mounting the pair of half assembled clamp halves around the whole flanges to be joined to one another, hanging an annular link around the other end part, and allowing the latter to be subjected to another curling operation in the same manner as described above so as to joint the clamp halves at the other end thereof.
