    摘要: A locking assembly for the spindle of a tool includes a locking member, a biasing member interconnected with the locking member, and a collar surrounding a portion of the spindle. The spindle includes a spindle slot that receives the locking member to lock the spindle with respect to the tool housing. The collar may be rotated into an unlocked position in which the biasing member holds the locking member out of engagement with the spindle slot. The collar may also be rotated into a locked position in which a cam surface in the collar acts on the biasing member to apply a biasing force on the locking member toward engagement with the spindle slot. The biasing member may deflect to accommodate rotation of the collar into the locked position with the spindle slot not aligned with the locking member.

The invention also relates to a blocking device for the ring nut (6) consisting of a coaxial crown of blocking recesses (9) and at least one blocking element (10) which, in the blocking position, is engaged in the blocking recesses (9) under the force of a locking spring. The drill chuck also comprises a coaxial adjusting ring (15) which can be rotated in a defined manner relative to the ring nut (6) between first abutments (16), and a catch device (17) forming two catch positions (18) for the adjusting ring (15) in the peripheral direction. A blocking ring (21), the rotation of which is restricted between second abutments (20, 20′) of the adjusting ring (15) by means of counter-abutments (19), is used to displace the blocking element (10) between the blocking position and the release position, said release position corresponding to the state of the blocking element (10) when disengaged from the blocking recesses (9). The second abutment (20′) upstream in the rotational direction (12) corresponding to the opening of the drill chuck rests against the counter-abutment (19) in the blocking position.     摘要: A chuck is provided for use with a manual or powered driver. The chuck has a body with angularly disposed passageways. A plurality of jaws is slidably positioned within the angularly disposed passageways. A nut is rotatably mounted about the body member and has threads defined on an inner circumference that engage jaw threads. A sleeve is in driving rotational engagement with the nut so that when the sleeve is rotated with respect to the body, the jaws are moved within the passageways. A stopping mechanism that rotates with the sleeve is provided with at least one elastic stop pawl. When the stopping mechanism rotates in a first direction that causes the gripping jaws to move to the rear of the body to a predetermined position, the stop pawl blocks the lateral surface of the gripping jaws and prevents further rotational movement of the nut.

    摘要: The invention relates to a clamping system as a point of separation inside a tool or workpiece support system, or as an interface between a tool or workpiece support system and a machine tool for the detachable, non-positive connection of two clamping system parts. According to the present invention, it is proposed to coat at least one joining surface of a joining surface pairing between components of the clamping system parts that are to be connected in non-positive fashion with a layer of solid lubricant applied in an abrasion-resistant manner. On the one hand, this coating with solid lubricant enables significant improvement in the sliding characteristics of the joining surfaces, subjected to friction, of the components of the clamping system to be connected with one another. On the other hand, the joining surfaces, which are in addition subjected to a high surface pressure, exhibit improved corrosion characteristics. These characteristics ensure the required positional accuracy of the two clamping system parts, even in the case of tool or workpiece support systems rotating at high speed.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for securely, mechanically retaining an elongated tool holding arbor in the tapered bore formed in the spindle of a conventional, rotatable, power driven spindle machine. The arbor is mechanically secured to the spindle by bridging it to a key via a threaded fastener. The arbor includes a longitudinal hole formed therethrough having at least first and second concentric passageways of different diameters. The rectangularly shaped key is sized to be operatively received within and set upon shoulders formed by first and second diametrically opposed openings formed through the spindle. The key includes a tapped hole formed centrally, transversely therethrough. The arbor may be inserted into the spindle's bore, and a fastener having an enlarged head and a threaded shaft may be inserted through the arbor's hole with the threaded shaft passing freely through both first and second passageways, and the head passing through the first passageway but not the second. An allen head wrench may then be inserted through the arbor's hole until it engages the head of the fastener. By rotating the wrench clockwise, the threaded shaft portion will engage the tapped hole formed through the key, thereby bridging the arbor to the key. The wrench should be continuously rotated until the key and arbor are mechanically secured to the maximum extent possible.
