    摘要: An ultra-precise boring cartridge and an adjustment device is disclosed. The boring cartridge includes a cam, a cam follower contacting the cam by a sloped portion, and a spring arrangement exerting a biasing force against the cam follower. The adjustment device includes a graduated dial affixed to an annular sleeve having a hexagonal-shaped end engaged with the boring cartridge. In an embodiment, a dial of the boring cartridge is rotated in increments of about 3.6° by the adjustment device, which causes movement of about 0.005 mm of the cam in a X-direction and movement of about 0.001 mm of the cam follower in a Y-direction, thereby selectively adjusting a machining radius of a cutting insert mounted on the cam follower.

The first operating slide carries a machining element. At least one balancing pendulum can be pivoted with respect to the base body. A first coupling device connects the first operating slide and the second operating slide and is pivotably hinged to the first operating slide and the second operating slide. A second coupling device connects the first coupling device and the balancing pendulum. The second coupling device is pivotably hinged to the first coupling device at a hinge point. The second coupling device is pivotably mounted around a rotation axis of the tool. Displacement of the first operating slide resultantly displaces the second operating slide in an opposite direction relative to the rotation axis of the tool.

    摘要: Tool and method for generating microstructures within cylindrical surfaces with a higher degree of efficiency, thereby allowing to provide cylindrical surfaces with a corresponding microstructure in much shorter cycle time. Cutting elements of the tool are arranged within seats to be radially displaceable in said seats during rotation of said tool body. The cutting elements are radially displaceable at least between two different radial positions, namely a radially retracted and a radially extended position. The cutting elements can be evenly distributed about the circumference of the tool at the same radial distance such that the tips of the cutting teeth and also the seats define a common cylindrical envelope surface the axis of which coincides with the axis of the tool body.
