摘要: A method of assembling an ultrasound catheter includes providing an elongated catheter body having a proximal end, a distal end, and at least one lumen extending longitudinally therethrough; coupling a proximal housing to the proximal end of the elongated catheter body, the proximal housing having a distal bore; inserting an ultrasound transmission member through the lumen of the catheter body; positioning a sonic connector on the proximal end of the ultrasound transmission member for connecting the ultrasound transmission member to a separate ultrasound generating device at a connection location, the sonic connector having a proximal section and a front portion, the proximal portion provided for connection to the separate ultrasound generating device; connecting the front portion of the sonic connector to the proximal end of the ultrasound transmission member; and retaining an absorber inside the distal bore of the proximal housing wherein the absorber substantially surrounds the ultrasound transmission member.

摘要: An ultrasound catheter has an elongate flexible catheter body having a lumen extending longitudinally therethrough, and an ultrasound transmission member extending longitudinally through the lumen of the catheter body. The ultrasound transmission member has a proximal end that is coupled to a separate ultrasound generating device, and a distal tip that is attached to the distal end of the ultrasound transmission member and which is located at the distal end of the catheter body. The ultrasound transmission member is directly attached to the catheter body and/or to a guidewire tube either directly or via an attachment device. The catheter has an additional radiopaque marker positioned on the distal end the catheter.

摘要: A medical device for use in extraction of emboli from a body vessel is described. The medical device includes a tubular member comprising a proximal end and extending to a distal end, and a collection member having a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration and being movable therebetween, the collection member having an apical end disposed to the distal end of the tubular member and extending to a basal end defining a body portion therebetween, the apical and basal ends having a second lumen formed therethrough and in fluid communication with the tubular member, the collection member comprising at least one port formed through the body portion.

摘要: A system of devices for treating an artery includes an arterial access sheath adapted to introduce an interventional catheter into an artery and an elongated dilator positionable within the internal lumen of the sheath body. The system also includes a catheter formed of an elongated catheter body sized and shaped to be introduced via a carotid artery access site into a common carotid artery through the internal lumen of the arterial access sheath. The catheter has an overall length and a distal most section length such that the distal most section can be positioned in an intracranial artery and at least a portion of the proximal most section is positioned in the common carotid artery during use.

摘要: A hydrodynamic catheter includes a catheter body with a catheter lumen and an infusion tube extending within the catheter body, the infusion tube configured for coupling with a fluid source near the catheter proximal portion. An inflow orifice and an outflow orifice are positioned at locations along a catheter body perimeter. A fluid jet emanator is in fluid communication with the infusion tube, where the fluid jet emanator includes one or more jet orifices configured to direct one or more fluid jets through the catheter lumen from near the inflow orifice toward the outflow orifice. A pivot cylinder located along the catheter body perimeter is positioned distal relative to one or more of the fluid jet emanator, the inflow orifice, or the outflow orifice.

摘要: In accordance with some configurations, systems and methods for guided removal from an in vivo subject are provided. In some configurations, a method for removing an object is provided. The method comprising, guiding a flexible tube through an in vivo subject's ureter, wherein the flexible tube comprises at least a first passageway and a second passageway. Positioning a distal end of the first passageway adjacent to the object. Infusing saline solution through the second passageway while suction is off. Removing the object through the first passageway with at least a portion of the saline solution.

摘要: An atherectomy catheter having an inner shaft which rotates a distal rotary tissue borer with a helical cutting surface which enables the catheter to out it and cross a CTO. Additionally, the atherectomy catheter has a distal cutting element rotated by an outer drive shaft configured to cut material from the wall of a vessel at a treatment site as the catheter is pushed distally through the treatment site. The atherectomy catheter includes a collection chamber positioned proximally of the cutting element and rotary tissue borer. The atherectomy catheter may include means to direct material cut from the treatment site into the collection chamber, means to break down larger portions of material that may block or clog the collection chamber and means of transporting the material collected from the treatment site to a proximal opening in the atherectomy catheter.

摘要: A retrieval catheter operable by a single clinician that will neither displace a deployed stent nor cause undue trauma to the vascular lumen or lesion. The retrieval catheter may be sized to accommodate both a guidewire and a balloon wire. The retrieval catheter is easy to navigate through tortuous passageways and will cross a previously deployed stent or stent-graft easily with minimal risk of snagging on the deployed stent or stent graft. The sheath and dilator are adapted to allow a guidewire or balloon wire to pass through the walls of both and to allow the sheath and dilator to move axially with respect to each other.
