    摘要: A transcutaneous energy transfer device is provided which has a magnetic shield covering the primary winding of the device to reduce sensitivity of the device to conducting objects in the vicinity of the coils and to increase the percentage of magnetic field generated by the primary coil which reaches the secondary coil. This shield is preferably larger than the primary coil in all dimensions and is either formed of a high permeability flexible material, for example a low loss magnetic material in a flexible polymer matrix, with perforations formed in the material sufficient to permit ventilation of the patient's skin situated under the shield, or the shield may be formed of segments of very high permeability material connected by a flexible, porous mesh material.

In accordance with one aspect of the present disclosure a tactile switch assembly for use with a surgical instrument includes a substrate, an inner terminal disposed on an upper surface of the substrate and having a first height, an outer terminal disposed on the upper surface of the substrate and substantially surrounding the inner terminal and having a second height which is greater than the height of the inner terminal and a snap-dome secured to the substrate and having a periphery engaged to and in electrical communication with the outer terminal. The snap-dome is depressible through a range wherein, upon inversion of the snap-dome, an apex of the snap dome electrically connect the inner and outer terminals.

    摘要: A combination electrosurgical instrument and vibratory device provides simultaneous transmission of radiofrequency energy and vibratory ultrasonic energy via a simple efficient handpiece attachment enabling a surgeon to modulate all types of tissues with different degrees of effectiveness. The combination of the invention enhances the proven effectiveness of both radiofrequency and ultrasonic technology. In a preferred embodiment, a small unbalanced motor that vibrates when activated is used to cause an electrosurgical handpiece containing the electrosurgical electrode to vibrate as a whole and to transmit to the electrode ultrasonic energy. The invention is of especial value when applied to skin resurfacing, but will also be of value for tissue modulation, coagulation, hemostasis and other electrosurgical procedures.

According to this embodiment, a center leaf is projected into the center of the x-ray field with all other leaves retracted. An image is acquired. A line through the center of the center leaf is identified. This line is also a line through isocenter. Another method according to an embodiment of the present invention for finding isocenter uses an accessory. The accessory according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a metal marker in the center of the accessory with metal markers interspersed away from the center at a predetermined interval. An image may be acquired through the accessory, with the patient on the table. The resulting image may be analyzed to identify the position of the metal markers to determine isocenter.
