    摘要: The present invention relates to a broad-spectrum tumor suppressor gene and the protein expressed by that gene in appropriate host cells. The protein is a second in-frame AUG codon-initiated retinoblasoma protein of about 94 kD relative molecular mass. The present invention also relates to methods of treating a mammal having a disease or disorder characterized by abnormal cellular proliferation, such as a tumor or cancer and methods of treating abnormally proliferating cells, such as tumor or cancer cells. Treatment is accomplished by inserting a host cell compatible p94.sup.RB expression vector or an effective amount of p94.sup.RB protein into a cell or cells in need of treatment.

    摘要: The present invention relates to compositions and methods for selectively expressing a polypeptide in a membrane vesicle. The invention also relates to genetic constructs and recombinant cells suitable to produce such membrane vesicles. This invention also relates to such functionalized membrane vesicles as well as to methods of making antibodies, methods of producing or regulating an immune response as well as to methods of screening or identifying binding partners using the same. The invention more particularly uses lactadherin or portions thereof to selectively express polypeptides in membrane vesicles, of natural or synthetic origin.     摘要: The strain of micro-organism Lactobacillus fermentum ME-3 is a novel anti-microbial and anti-oxidative probiotic. It has a high anti-microbial effect on Escherichia coli, Shigella sonnei, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella typhimurium, and moderate activity against Helicobacter pylori strains. The strain of micro-organism possesses Mn-superoxide dismutase and both its lysates and intact cells have high anti-oxidative activity, increasing the glutathione red-ox ratio in blood sera and able to capture toxic hydroxyl radicals. The strain of micro-organism could be used as a probiotic for the production of functional food (yoghurt, cheese) and non-comestibles (tablets, capsules) for the prophylaxis of intestinal and uroinfections, both for the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases, caused by prolonged oxidative stress.
