    摘要: A portable computer including, a CPU operable in a maximum performance mode or in a low power consuming mode according to circumstances, supplied power from a fuel cell, the portable computer further including: a primary fuel valve enabling the fuel cell to be supplied fuel from an external source; a signal sensor sensing an external fuel supplying signal from the primary fuel valve; and a controller controlling the CPU to be operated in the maximum performance mode based on the sensed external fuel supplying signal. Thus, the CPU and the peripheral device is operated in the maximum performance mode when the portable computer receives the power from the external fuel tank, and operated in the low power consuming mode when receiving the power from the fuel cartridge in the fuel cell, thereby enabling maximum use time of the fuel cell. Furthermore, the portable computer which can use both of the AC/DC power and the fuel cell as a power source outputs the external power input signal generated when it receives the power from the AC/DC adapter or the fuel from the fuel tank and is operated in the maximum performance mode.

    摘要: A vehicular engine starting system is provided in which a key cannot be removed from a key hole unless a shift lever is shifted to a parking position, the system including a pivot shaft having a cam surface that abuts against a blocking lever in response to movement of the pivot shaft from a LOCK position to an ACC position. The cam surface is formed into a shape that can move the blocking lever to an engaged position against a spring force of a return spring in response to movement of the pivot shaft from the ACC position toward an ON position. A plunger and the blocking lever are operatively connected so that the plunger is moved toward a retracted position in response to movement of the blocking lever from a disengaged position to the engaged position. Thus, the current consumption and heat generation of the solenoid can be suppressed in engaging the block lever with the pivot shaft in order to prevent the block lever from turning from the ACC position to the LOCK position.

To prevent the engine from stalling, a restriction jet is placed within the start pulse passage to prevent the auxiliary fuel pump from discharging fuel into the throttling bore when the engine transmits pulses at high frequencies.

    摘要: A remote start control system may include an engine speed data bus reader at the vehicle for reading the engine speed signal on the vehicle data communications bus, and a remote start controller at the vehicle and connected to a receiver and the engine speed data bus reader for operating the engine starter based upon a remote start transmitter and based upon the engine speed signal. In some embodiments, the engine speed signal may include a digital code, and the engine speed data bus reader reads the digital code and converts the digital code into a pulsed tachometer emulation signal for the remote start controller. In other embodiments, the engine speed data bus reader generates an output level based upon the digital code exceeding at least one threshold, such as an engine started or engine overspeed threshold. The remote start control system is readily interfaced to a vehicle having a data communications bus to thereby be able to operate using an engine speed signal.
