    摘要: A system and method of cleaning a gas of undesired particulate, aromas, and gases of the type utilizing a centrifuge with various combinations and apparatus used to liquid wet a gas stream is provided. The gas scrubber of the present invention includes a container for containing a liquid having a surface forming a space between said surface and the container top; a motor having a rotatable vertically mounted shaft mounted above said top with said shaft connected to and rotatable with a centrifuge cylinder having an inlet positioned outside of said container and having an outlet positioned in said space. Said cylinder contains fan blades to draw gas from said cylinder inlet and out said cylinder outlet. A vertically mounted rotatable siphon pipe, connected to said shaft, that has an inlet positioned below said surface and an outlet positioned proximate said centrifuge inlet to draw liquid up and out to the centrifuge inlet and flow down the centrifuge wall to clean the wall and mix with said gas. A throat may be provided at said cylinder outlet to further mix said gas. A moving liquid surface may also be provided in front of said throat outlet to allow the departing gas from said throat to impact and additionally mix said gas.

    摘要: The present disclosure relates to an evaporative cooler including first and second trays each having a longitudinal axis. Each tray includes a bottom wall and two side walls that project upward from the bottom wall and extend generally parallel to the longitudinal axis of each tray. Each tray also includes two end walls that project upward from the bottom wall and extend between the side walls. Each tray further includes spaced apart cooler media retaining members that are generally parallel to the longitudinal axis of each tray. The trays are positioned in an end-to-end relationship such that the longitudinal axes of the trays are generally aligned with one another, and one of the end walls of the first tray is positioned adjacent to one of the end walls of the second tray. The evaporative cooler also includes an elongated clip adapted to extend the between the adjacent end walls of the first and second trays for inhibiting water leakage between the adjacent walls.

    摘要: An improved process and system for collecting and handling dust in a papermaking machine environment wherein dust-laden air is drawn into and moves along an elongated collector by way of a vacuum-generating source connected to the collector involves the introduction of water into the collector so that the introduced water becomes entrained by the dust-laden air moving through the collector and wet-scrubs the dust-laden air upon entering the collector. With the dust being wet-scrubbed upon exiting the collector, the likelihood of ductwork fouling is substantially eliminated, and the risk of fire in the ductwork downstream of the collector is appreciably reduced.

The drum and motor are supported by a support frame attached to floatation devices. A plurality of elliptically shaped paddles are externally affixed to the exterior surface of the non-floating drum. Rotation of the drum by the internal motor and gearbox causes rotation of the plurality of paddles affixed to the drum exterior. The plurality of paddles cause agitation of the body of water and allow Oxygen to be dissolved therein.

    摘要: An apparatus for contacting large volumes of gas and liquid together on a microscope scale for mass transfer or transport processes wherein the contact between liquid and gas occurs at the interfaces of a multitude of gas bubbles. Multiple porous tubes assembled in a bundle inside a pressure vessel terminate at each end in a tube sheet. A thin film helical liquid flow is introduced into the inside of each porous tube around and along its inside wall. Gas is sparged into the porous media and the liquid film so that an annular two phase flow with a uniform distribution of tiny gas bubbles results. The gas flow is segregated from the liquid flow without first passing through the porous media and through the liquid film. Nozzles at the lower end of the tubes divert liquid flow to a vessel and redirect the gas flow in a countercurrent direction.
