摘要: A draft tube mixing system or reactor wherein the draft tube contains slots, perforations, or cut-out sections that allow cross flow of fluid through the draft tube wall. The perforations or slots can be practically any shape, however, simple geometric shapes such as rectangles and circles are preferred for ease of manufacture. The perforations or slots are typically arrayed in columns along a substantial section of the draft tube. In a preferred embodiment, the quantity and position of the perforations are such that a fluid filling the draft tube is capable of cross flow through the draft tube wall along substantially its entire length.

摘要: The present invention relates to an apparatus for effectively agitating non-cellulosic fibers in a foamed medium, comprising agitating means mounted for displacement within the foamed medium and including a leading surface facing in the direction of displacement. The leading surface includes upper and lower portions converging in the direction of displacement to form a generally convex leading surface and driving means for displacing the agitating means in the direction of displacement for dispersing and mutually separating the metal fibers within the foamed medium. The present invention further relates to a method for forming a non-woven fibrous web comprised of non-cellulosic fibers which comprises forming a foam furnish by agitating the fibers in a foamed medium with the aforedescribed apparatus, and passing the foam furnish onto a screen and defoaming the furnish.

摘要: The present invention provides a pyrolysis tube for enhancing the yield of olefins and reducing a coking tendency in steam cracking of hydrocarbons. According to the present invention, the pyrolysis tube is characterized in that a plurality of mixing blades made by twisting two ends of a plate in opposite directions are included therein. The yield of ethylene is thereby improved and the coking tendency is reduced by mixing a fluid flow, improving a heat transfer rate and shortening a residence time of the reactants therein.

摘要: An apparatus for agitating ice cream in an ice cream vending machine including a screw member rotatably disposed on an inner lower side of a canister, a worm wheel disposed in contact with an upper end of the screw member, rotatably driven by a rotational movement of the screw member, and an agitating member, a lower end of which contacts the worm wheel, and an upper end positioned at an inner upper side of the canister. The agitating member agitates ice cream particles filled in the upper and lower portions of the canister evenly by being resiliently vibrated upward and downward by rotational movement of the worm wheel. Accordingly, by evenly agitating ice cream particles at upper and lower portions of the canister, the bead-shaped ice cream particles are prevented from attaching to each other.

摘要: An ice delivery system includes an ice bin with an ice maker thereon. An auger dispenses ice from the bin and agitators within the bin prevent blockage. The agitation may follow a pattern depending on the location of the agitators with some about the periphery less employed than those adjacent the auger. An ice gate receives ice and flowing air to direct the ice pneumatically to a multistation diverter. The flow through the diverter is vertically downwardly. Tubes from the diverter convey ice to remote dispensing stations. The dispensing stations have prechambers with drains and lockable gates to advantageously receive ice for delivery into the remote station bins or block the ice storage area to allow cleaning. Conduit couplings are configured to connect tubing without creating an area of ice blockage or allowing the buildup of contamination. Germicidal lights or ozone may be used in the ice bin to avoid contamination. Further, active agents for cleaning, de-scaling or sanitizing may be introduced through the ice gate on an automatic cycled basis.
