    摘要: A centrifugal cleaner with a reject chamber (1) having a center dilution arrangement (3) with a dilution nozzle (4) to deliver dilution fluid to the reject chamber (1), and a reject outlet (7) at the bottom of the reject chamber (1). The dilution nozzle (4) points outwards to create a crossing outward flow of dilution fluid across an annular space (5) around the dilution arrangement (3) to slow circulating fluid flowing down from a cone (2) of the centrifugal cleaner to the reject chamber (1). The dilution arrangement (3) may have a clearing nozzle (6), directed against the reject outlet (7). The dilution nozzle (4) may be pointed below the bottom end (9) of the cone (2) and the dilution arrangement (3) may not extend higher than the bottom end of the cone.

    摘要: A vacuum clean-out system including a separator chamber and associated collection chamber for removing liquid material and debris from a vacuum output and providing a vacuum return line free of contaminants. A vacuum exhaust line is coupled to a cyclonic separator chamber that induces a circular rotation within the incoming vacuum stream, causing the liquid and debris to impinge the chamber's surfaces and fall to the bottom thereof while the “clean” vacuum is drawn upwards into a return line. The collection chamber is maintained at the same negative pressure as the separator chamber so that the accumulating liquid and debris easily drains into the collection chamber. A sensor associated with the collection chamber may be used to determine when the collection chamber is full and needs to be discharged. At that point, the separator chamber is isolated from the collection chamber, the collection chamber is vented and the accumulated material is discharged and/or analyzed. Advantageously, the separator chamber remains under negative pressure and continues the vacuum clean-out process uninterrupted.

    摘要: A self-sealing element is provided in the outer wall of the discharge chamber of a centrifugal cleaning apparatus opposite the rejects discharge outlet. When a blockage occurs at the discharge outlet, a long needle-like nozzle is inserted through the sealing element to the blockage. Water or air under pressure is expelled from orifices in the nozzle and breaks up the blockage. After the nozzle is withdrawn, the sealing element, which may be formed of a silicone rubber, reseals itself.

    摘要: A cleaner system for removing solid debris and contaminants from a feed slurry includes a cleaner operable to separate a feed slurry into an accepted slurry and a reject slurry, the reject slurry including the solid debris and contaminants. The cleaner system further includes a dilution device fluidly coupled to a reject outlet of the cleaner. The dilution device includes a dilution water hydrocyclone having a dilution water inlet, a cyclonic flow section, an underflow outlet at a downstream end of the cyclonic flow section, and a reject slurry inlet in a top of the dilution water hydrocyclone. The dilution water hydrocyclone further includes a flow director disposed between the dilution water inlet and the reject slurry inlet and operable to direct the flow of dilution water from the dilution water inlet in at least an axial direction towards the cyclonic flow section.

    摘要: A hydrocyclone separator and a system that includes a plurality of such hydrocyclone separators are presented. The hydrocyclone separator includes a head portion having an inlet conduit and an overflow discharge tube arranged in the head portion. The hydrocyclone separator further has an apex discharge port and a tapered separation portion arranged between the head portion and the apex discharge port. The tapered separation portion is tapering distally away from the head portion. Moreover, the head portion further includes an emptying port arranged in the head portion separately from the overflow discharge tube. Hereby, a hydrocyclone separator capable of achieving improved operational efficiency with reduced risk of coarse fraction being misplaced and left in the head portion is presented. This effectively reduces maintenance needs and prolongs the lifespan of the hydrocyclone.
