    摘要: A vibrating screen apparatus for sizing materials is shown that has a minimum of moving parts therein. A vibrating motor is mounted below longitudinal vibrating bars. The vibrating bars are set on air mounts, which air mounts are between the vibrating bars and cross braces connected to the frame. The vibrating bars press against the underside of a vibrating screen to form a crown therein when the air mounts are inflated. The vibrating screen is stretched between the sides of the frame by tensioning rails. A shroud over the top of the frame is secured in place. Multiple size materials can be produced by stacking multiple vibrating screen apparatuses.

    摘要: A screening machine of the type used to separate or classify mixtures of solid particles of different sizes includes a fixed base and a perforate screen deck mounted for movement relative to the base during a screening operation. Leaf springs connect the tail end of the screen deck to the fixed base so that the leaf springs support the tail end of screen deck for movement relative to the base. The leaf springs are oriented horizontally to avoid introducing vertical movement to the screen deck as it moves to and from the head and tail ends. The leaf springs are offset or deflected when the machine is at rest or in the neutral mid-point of its stroke. This arrangement advantageously utilizes the bias of the leaf springs to accelerate, assist or enhance movement of the screen deck during portions of its stroke and likewise to decelerate, hinder or retard the movement during other portions of its stroke. With an appropriate offset, an increase in the effectiveness of the screening process (i.e., fewer defective particles passing through the screen deck) while a decrease in the screening time is attained.

    摘要: From one aspect the invention is a method of classifying waste materials comprising arranging two sieve screens, each having an inlet end and an outlet end, one above the other to define a space there between, arranging the upper screen, to be of coarser mesh size than the lower screen, supplying waste material to be classified to the inlet end of the upper screen, vibrating the screens, and blowing air between the screens from the inlet end and towards the outlet end whereby the waste material being blown away from the outlet ends of the screens, and large heavy material falling under gravity from the outlet end of the upper screen, and separately collecting the separated waste material fractions. From another aspect the invention is an apparatus for carrying out the method described above.

    摘要: A vibrating screen supported by springs and vibrated via rotating gear sets. The gears are provided with off center weights synchronized to produce angularly directed vibration for moving the material from end to end on the screen. The gears are lubricated with a bath of low viscosity lubricant which is vibrated to form lubricant spikes that extend into the path of the weights to be propelled by the weights into the gears. The weights are substantially crescent shaped at their leading end to avoid hammer like impact of the lubricant and to thereby reduce heat generation.

The directional stiffness of each bushing is aligned with the center of rotation of the vibratory motor, and this will produce linear motion when the unbalance of the vibratory motor is in line with the center of rotation of the motor and the direction of the directional stiffness of the bushings.

    摘要: A sealed wheel case is provided for use with a vibratory device for vibrating aggregate material. The vibratory device includes a frame and a rotating shaft extending transversely across the frame, with the shaft having a wheel. The sealed wheel case includes a housing having a base, a peripheral sidewall, and a cover. The housing is sized to receive therein the wheel and is further adapted to house therein a quantity of lubricating oil for lubricating the wheel. A plurality of attachment bolts are provided for securing the housing to the frame. Each of the attachment bolts includes a shank, an inner end disposed within the wheel case and having an inner contact surface, an inner control washer disposed between the inner contact surface and the housing base, with the inner control washer having a first predetermined thickness. The inner control washer includes an aperture therethrough sized to form with the bolt shank an annular cavity, and an O-ring is provided which is sized for insertion in the annular cavity, with the O-ring having a second predetermined thickness greater than the first predetermined thickness. The bolt further includes an outer end disposed outside the wheel case and having an outer contact surface adjacent the frame. Accordingly, in response to securement of each attachment bolt each O-ring is compressed to substantially fill its adjacent annular cavity, thereby preventing the lubricant from escaping the housing.
