摘要: A copper wire has an average copper content of at least 99.95 wt.% and at least one accompanying element alloyed with the copper. The ratio of the percentage by weight of the accompanying element and the percentage by weight of the residual oxygen concentration has a value in the range of 0.8 to 1.7. The percentage by weight of the accompanying element varies along a length of wire by a maximum of 25%, based on the maximum percentage by weight of the accompanying element. The copper wire is produced by a process that includes a casting operation followed by further processing. The copper melt is protected from the surrounding atmosphere until it has solidified. To guarantee exact alloying of the accompanying element, the equipment for the production of the copper wire has an automatic metering control system connected to a metering device.

摘要: A casting control method comprises the steps of supporting a mould on a support structure; sealing the mould to a launder system; measuring the weight of the mould to obtain a base ‘tear’ reading; operating the launder system to cause liquid casting material to flow into the mould; monitoring the change in weight of the mould due to the in-flow of liquid casting material; and controlling the rate of flow of the liquid casting material into the mould so that the change in weight monitored follows a predetermined optimum or substantially optimum path. Mould supporting apparatus, which can be used in the above casting control method, comprises a support structure which includes a support plate for supporting the mould, and one or more load cells which support the support plate in a floating arrangement. A launder system, a mould, and a casting are also provided.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for the weight-accurate filling of ingot molds in a non-iron casting machine, e.g. a copper anode casting machine or a zinc anode casting machine, which is configured in the form of casting wheels that are use for production in a fully mechanized casting operation and are provided with the ingot molds. The aim of the invention is to obtain the desired precise-weight quality of a piece and exact plane parallelism of the bordering surfaces thereof. Said aim is achieved by carrying out the following steps: first, a liquid metal is introduced into an intermediate trough (4,4′) at a regulated mass flow rate, the continuous dynamic weight increase being simultaneously determined; second, liquid metal is fed into a dosing trough (4, 4′) which is located on each side of the intermediate trough (4, 4′) by alternately tilting the intermediate trough (4, 4′) on one side followed by the other. After filling the first dosing trough (5), the intermediate trough (4) is tilted in the direction of the second dosing trough (5′) while the mass of an anode is cast from the first filled dosing trough into one of the ingot molds (10, 10′) that are arranged on the casting wheel (9, 9′) by means of a controlled tilting movement. Also disclosed is a device for carrying out the inventive method.
