Abstract:
A portable, heat-sensitive scanner unit capable of electronic communication with a central database storage facility via a computer unit online system (laptop or desktop PC). The scanner unit has an area on its top surface to receive biometric information such as a fingerprint from an individual. The scanned biometric data is to be compared with data previously obtained from the individual, which data has been stored in the central database. A yellow light is activated on the scanner to confirm that the individual's finger has been properly placed on the scanner and that verification is in process. If identification is verified and approved without any restrictions, a green light is activated. If identification is not verified and approved or there are restrictions, a red light will be activated on the scanner unit to alert officials that further processing of the individual must be made.

Abstract:
The present invention provides a dispensing pump for dispensing a plurality of fluids simultaneously but separately through a spout. The spout has a plurality of discharge orifices and a closure associated with the spout for closing the discharge orifices. The closure is sized and adapted to seal all discharge orifices and further includes at least one plug seal for sealing at least one respective discharge orifice but has fewer plug seals than discharge orifices.
Abstract:
An elastic body suit constructed of two breathable, durable elastic layers quilted together over a series of flexible weights. The first, inner layer of elastic is lighter than the second, outer layer. Air ports for body cooling and air circulation at the arm pits and the backs of the knees are formed from the inner layer. The flexible weights are constructed of polyurethane and metal blended material made through an extrusion process normally used for making tubing and hoses. The suit can be made with an optional third layer of stretchable material to enhance its appearance, i.e.--spandex or latex.
Abstract:
An exhaust gas treatment device includes an inlet housing having an inlet opening for receipt of an exhaust flow from an engine aligned along a first axis. A main housing includes a cylindrical body portion defining a treatment zone and an exhaust outlet aligned along a second axis extending parallel to the first axis. The inlet housing is in fluid communication with and fixed to an outer surface of the main housing. The inlet housing includes a contoured wall including an end portion positioned opposite the inlet opening, an aperture extending through the wall transverse to the first axis, divergent side wall portions on opposite sides of the inlet opening, and a necked portion having a reduced cross-section positioned downstream of the inlet opening and upstream of the aperture. A component is coupled to the main housing for treating exhaust flowing through the treatment zone.
Abstract:
Apparatus and methods provide for the isolation of an inactive cable pair from a bridged active cable pair. According to various embodiments, a bridge lifting block is installed in-line between control equipment and a cable connected to the bridged cable pairs. The bridge lifting block includes a first set of post pairs for connection to the control equipment and a second set of post pairs for connection to the cable block. Mini-bridge lifters are installed in the bridge lifting block between the sets of post pairs. The bridge lifting block may include two cable blocks linked together, with mini-bridge lifters installed in one and corresponding pass-through coils installed in the other. Alternatively, the bridge lifting block may include a single block body having two opposing sets of post pairs with intervening mini-bridge lifters. Additional control equipment may be installed between the bridge lifting block and cable block.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a tamper resistant closure system for a container having a body, a mouth or opening and a neck portion. The container is fitted with a cap such as a screw-on or snap-on type to cover and seal the mouth or opening. The cap is configured with a sidewall extending beyond the top sealing portion of the cap thereby defining a peripheral rim for a cavity or an open void created therewith. Fitted over the cap and preferably at least the neck portion of the container is a protective overwrap, such as heat shrinkable thermoplastic band which extends beyond the cap sidewall. The engagement between the band and the cap and container is attained by shrinking the band in tight conformance around the cap and at least the neck portion of the container, with overwrap material extending past the cap sidewall, such extension providing a finger grip tab that may easily be pulled to remove the overwrap when initially opening the container. The extension of the cap sidewall prevents the overwrap material from securely adhering to the top portion of the cap which would make removal or peeling difficult. In this way, the tightly secured protective overwrap provides tamper resistance yet enables easy and convenient means for removal by the intended user.
