Each chamber is filled with a filler material that may be a loose mixed granulate of waste or recycled polymer. All of the layers are thermally fused and laminated integrally together. The panel element may be molded into a three-dimensional contour. The panel element is strong, lightweight, stiff against bending, incorporates waste or recycled materials, and provides good noise damping.

摘要： Methods and apparatuses for inserting flexible bags and other liners into open packaging containers. One or more engagement heads engage and position the flexible liners in preparation for their insertion into open containers using an insertion assembly. One or more of the engagement heads are preferably made with vacuum heads that are movable to open the liner for the insertion assembly. A cuffing assembly can be included for cuffing the open end of the liners over the top edges of the open containers. Clamping assemblies can be included on the cuffing assembly to facilitate holding the liners during insertion and cuffing. The use of an engagement assembly, insertion assembly, and cuffing assembly which are independently driven helps to provide greater speed and operational flexibility.

摘要： Methods and apparatuses for inserting flexible bags into open containers, and cuffing an open end of the flexible bags about a top edge of the open containers. The method and apparatus include a vacuum assembly having at least one movable vacuum head for engaging and positioning the flexible bags in preparation for their insertion into the open containers. An insertion assembly having a mandrel inserts the flexible bags into the open containers. A cuffing assembly can be included for cuffing the open end of the flexible bags over the top edges of the open containers. The vacuum assembly may engage a flexible bag from a bag dispenser while the mandrel is in an extended position within the container. The method and apparatus also facilitate the use of a vacuum assembly, insertion assembly, and cuffing assembly which are independently driven to provide greater speed and flexibility to the bag opening, insertion and cuffing processes.

摘要： A method for making a cigarette container wherein a hollow container body is constructed having an open end which includes a step portion defining a surrounding rim and interior abutments. A plug is prepared which is sized to be received between the rim of the body and to abut the abutments. The plug includes a main plate, a metal layer attached to the main plate, and a heat activated adhesive located adjacent the metal layer and positioned to be immediately adjacent the step portion. An induction heating device is then located adjacent the open end of the body, and activated to heat the metal layer and hence to heat the adjacent adhesive so that after cooling the plug is bonded to the body by the adhesive and the plug thus permanently closes the open end of the body.

摘要： The invention is a method of forming Bliss-type boxes by combining containerboard body blanks with end panel or box liner blanks. A Bliss box former is used in direct association with a slitter scorer. The slitter scorer is supplied with containerboard sheets having a width which is equal to the length of the box liner blanks. The sheets have a length which is equal to a whole number multiple of the width of the box liner blanks. Box liners are severed and scored one-by-one as needed by the Bliss box former. This reduces the need for maintaining multiple sizes of box liner blanks in inventory and greatly simplifies setup when boxes are being made that differ only in width.
