摘要: Improved pliable print rollers for high speed drink can printing machines increase the pliable roller life five- to ten-fold at comparable ink thickness and machine speed. The improved performance results from the selection of materials utilized including a combination of elastomers, and in some case an essentially oil-free composition, and an associated manufacturing process not previously utilized to create pliable print rollers for high speed drink can printing machines. In particular a particular embodiment, the composition includes a combination of elastomers (e.g., 75% polyisoprene and 25% polybutadiene), a filler (e.g., silica), a curing agent (e.g., peroxided), and other additives (e.g., pigment, antioxidant, antiozonant) with little or no oil added as a softener. An illustrative composition including 150 parts by weight contains 100 parts elastomer, 35 parts filler, 4 parts curing agent, and 11 parts other additives (i.e., zero parts oil softener).

摘要: An assembly for a printing machine includes: a printing plate cylinder, which has a cylinder body; a printing sleeve, which is arranged on an outer surface of the cylinder body; and a transmission device, which has a connecting point on the printing plate cylinder side and a connecting point on the printing sleeve side, which connecting points can be connected by means of a connecting element to form a transmission connection. The connecting element is displaceable between a retracted position, in which the transmission connection is interrupted, and an extended position, in which the transmission connection is formed for at least one of the following types of transmission: transmission of a fluid, transmission of signals and transmission of electrical energy. Furthermore, a method is provided for producing an arrangement for a printing machine.

摘要: Correction values (Δθ1-Δθn) according to image area ratios in ranges of a printing plate of a preceding print job corresponding to ink fountain keys (4-1-4-n) are obtained. Opening amounts (θ1b-θnb) of the ink fountain keys (4-1-4-n) corresponding to the image of the printing plate (7′) of a next print job are corrected by correction values (Δθ1-Δθn) to obtain corrected opening amounts (θ1b′-θnb′). In a state in which ink in an ink roller group (6) has been decreased by scraping and removing it by an ink scraper blade (15) and in a state in which the opening amounts of the ink fountain keys (4-1-4-n) have been set to the corrected opening amounts (θ1b′-θnb′), an ink film thickness distribution corresponding to the image of the printing plate of the next print job is formed on the ink roller group (6).

摘要: A printing machine operates at a variable speed, and includes a rotary reference component. Activation and deactivation of positioning units for printing cylinders and other functional units for the printing machine is performed in synchronization with the rotation of the rotary reference component. The positioning units exhibit dead times in their response to applied activating or deactivating signals. The duration of each such dead time expressed in terms of the extent of angular movement of the rotary reference component varies in dependence upon printing machine operating speed, tending to produce improper synchronization between activation and deactivation of positioning units, on the one hand, and machine operation, on the other hand. The speed of operation of the printing machine is monitored and employed to automatically introduce a compensatory time delay into the application of activating or deactivating signals to the positioning units, to compensate for the dead times and maintain proper synchronization.

摘要: Provided is a printing method which enables formation of a high-definition printing pattern with high productivity. The printing method includes a treatment liquid application step of applying a treatment liquid, in a treatment liquid set pattern, to a pattern formation region of a printing plate in the printing plate on which a pattern has been formed; an ink application step of applying an ink, in an ink set pattern, to the pattern formation region of the printing plate to which the treatment liquid has been applied; and a transfer step of transferring the ink applied to the pattern formation region of the printing plate to a substrate. The treatment liquid is used for increasing a second diameter of the ink after application of the treatment liquid compared to a first diameter of the ink landed on the pattern formation region without application of the treatment liquid.

摘要: An ink fountain with an ink-duct roller in the inking mechanism of printing presses, with a device for filling printing ink into the ink fountain, is described. The device for filling ink is mounted on a sled so that it can be moved back and forth in the longitudinal direction of the ink fountain. A sensor is fastened to the sled, and when the ink level is too low, the sensor controls the ink feed. Thereby, a precise regulation of the amount of ink added can be achieved by means of a downstream dosing device.
