    摘要: Desensitization of carbonless copy systems is provided by contacting an electron-accepting, color-reactant material capable of reacting with a substantially colorless chromogenic compound to form a visible image with a desensitizing agent comprising, in combination, a non-volatile, polyoxygenated compound and a strong chelating agent. In this manner, acid-reactive clay coatings typically used in carbonless copy paper systems are effectively desensitized and prevented from reacting with conventional chromogens, such as crystal violet lactone and benzoyl leuco methylene blue.

    摘要: Carbonless copy paper is prepared by placing a first sheet of paper coated on one side with a hydrophilic colloid solution in which are dispersed microcapsules of oil droplets containing a colorless electron donor dye into contact with a second sheet of paper coated with an absorbent and an electron accepting color developer compound. The heat resistance and moisture resistance of the copy paper is substantially improved by adding to the hydrophilic colloid solution a graft copolymer having a backbone of carboxymethyl cellulose or gum arabic and side chains of polyacrylic acid or polymethacrylic acid. The image response time of the second sheet can be improved by adding pectin or sulfated starch to the coating.

    摘要: The invention relates to a process for coloring surfaces in such a way that two juxtaposed colored areas cannot be visually perceived as distinct from one another unless their distance from the eye drops below a predetermined distance. The first area is colored by juxtapositioning unitary zones of at least two colors and the second area is colored by the resultant color of the optical mixture of the colors used for the first area. One important application of the invention is in display advertising.

    摘要: A stabilizing agent for use in electron donor-acceptor carbonless copying systems. The stabilizing agent is 2,2'-methylene-bis(4-methyl-6-t-butyl phenol). Systems in which the stabilizing agent is useful comprise a color-forming composition comprising at least one leuco dye which is fadeable or discolorable after development, a color-developing composition comprising an acidic coreactant material capable of reacting with the color-forming composition to provide colored products, and the stabilizing agent. The stabilizing agent prevents discoloration or fade of images produced by reaction of the color-forming composition with the color-developing composition. In a preferred embodiment, the color-forming composition additionally comprises dithiooxamide and/or dithiooxamide derivatives, the color-developing composition additionally comprises a transition metal ion capable of reacting with the dithiooxamide compound to produce a purple-colored product, and the reaction of the color-forming composition with the color-developing composition results in a neutral black colored product.
