摘要： A device for separating stick-on material, such as self-adhesive stamps, from a roll of backing tape to which the stick-on material is adhered, for dispensing and applying the stick-on material onto an application surface, and for storing the empty tape. The device provides a chamber for holding a supply roll of backing tape and stick-on material so that backing tape and adhered stick-on material can be payed out from the roll in a first direction. The tape is guided along a path that causes the tape initially to extend in said first direction and then in a second direction angularly related to the first direction so that as the tape changes direction, it separates from the stick-on material. A drive member, conveniently a roller, engages the application surface and the tape after it has been separated from the stick-on material so that movement of the drive member over the surface by hand manipulation of the device causes the drive member to pull the empty tape from the holding chamber and move it along the path to a take-up chamber. As the device and drive member continue to be moved, the stick-on material is dispensed on and applied to the surface and the empty tape is stored in the take-up chamber.

摘要： A dispensing system for dispensing wall board compound has a tank on wheels. A helical mixing blade is located in the tank. The tank has an open top and a lid. A sensor detects when the lid is open. The sensor is connected to a controller which in turn controls the motor that rotates the mixing blade. A primary mixing switch will cause the motor to rotate the mixing blade unless the sensor detects that the top is open. A pair of override switches are available for overriding the sensor and causing the motor to rotate the blade even though the lid is open. Both override switches must be physically held in the on position for the mixing motor to remain on. The override switches are spaced apart so that two hands are required to hold them in the on position. This allows the user to observe the mixing while the lid is open.

摘要： A filler for finishing architectural panel joints comprising masticized tape having a preferential distribution of mastic along its working surface. The preferential distribution of mastic facilitates finishing of the architectural panel joints. The preferential distribution of mastic may comprise the formation of a non-planar layer of mastic on the tape. The distribution may further comprise a greater volume of mastic along the edge portions of the tape than in the center portion of the tape, or vice versa, or a greater portion in one region of the tape than in another region of the tape. A tool is also provided comprising a mechanism for dispensing masticized tape connected to a tool body. The mechanism comprises a flow valve having a working surface suitable for preferential distribution of the mastic onto the tape. The mechanism further comprises mastic shrouds for containing the flow of mastic and a sprocket cap.

The tool also comprises a head apparatus for applying and dispensing masticized tape. The tool body may comprise a container for storing and dispensing mastic. The tool further comprises a tapered universal fill nozzle having a plurality of diameters that will accommodate remote charging of the tool from mechanisms provided by a variety of manufacturers. Although the body of the tool is usually made of corrosion resistant metal, it may also be made of a polymer, a carbon composite, or combination thereof. The tool body may also be uniquely colored to further identify it from the tools of other manufacturers.

摘要： A masking machine for plural rolls of masking paper has a generally triangular shape with triangular front and back frames joined by a base and a number of cross members. The cross members support inclined roll supports at both ends. The base of the machine is mounted on castor wheels for portability. Paper and masking tape applied to an edge of the paper are guided out of the machine by horizontal guide rods and outer cutter bars which are conveniently positioned across the front of the frame.
