Abstract:
A filler assembly comprising a pouch preheat zone, a pouch sterilization zone, and a pouch flush zone. The preheat zone includes a preheat nozzle assembly having an inlet and an outlet, the outlet engageable with a pouch assembly, and a preheat vacuum nozzle assembly having an inlet engageable with a pouch assembly and an outlet attachable to a vacuum. The pouch sterilization zone includes a sterilization nozzle assembly having an inlet and an outlet, the outlet engageable with a pouch assembly, and, a sterilization vacuum nozzle assembly having an inlet engageable with a pouch assembly and an outlet attachable to a vacuum. The pouch flush zone includes a pouch flush nozzle assembly having an inlet and an outlet, the outlet engageable with a pouch assembly, and, a pouch flush vacuum nozzle assembly having an inlet engageable with a pouch assembly and an outlet attachable to a vacuum.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system for the compact packaging of microfibrillated cellulose, which comprises a packaging, which comprises at least one polymer material. Said packaging encompasses a content that essentially consists of microfibrillated cellulose (“MFC”) that is present as a suspension in a solvent. The resulting system is of an essentially round or essentially rectangular or oval outer circumference, as defined by the dimensions of the packaging once fully filled out by the content. The system of the invention has the advantage, among others, to provide a solid and firm essentially round packaging shape. The resulting units of packaged MFC can be easily stacked on a pallet. The packaging maintains the water retention capacity of the suspension (paste). The present invention also relates to a process for making such a system.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a filling device for heterogeneous products or products which have solid or semi-solid suspended elements with variable dimensions and compactness. The valve of the invention can be used in net weight filling machines. In particular, the invention relates to a filling device (1) for filling machines, comprising a hollow body (2) in which a shutter member (3) is movably fitted and acts in cooperation with a dispensing member (4), which is coaxial to said shutter member (3), to close or open a dispensing opening (5) for a product (P) to be dispensed into a container (C), characterized in that said dispensing member (4) comprises a rotatable shaft (10) comprising a screw portion (14) adapted to impart a dispensing pressure and a mixing to the product (P).

Abstract:
A powder feeding method includes the steps of injecting a gaseous medium into a powder material held in a hopper from a porous wall forming a funnel at a bottom part of said hopper, such that the injection of the gaseous medium is carried out intermittently.
Abstract:
An apparatus for cyclically dosing bulk goods for filling sequentially advanced receptacles has a dosing auger; an electric disc rotor motor connected to the auger to rotate the same and arranged to be electrically braked; a blocking device having an actuated state in which it prevents rotation of the auger and an idle state in which it permits rotation thereof; and a control device for setting the blocking device in the actuated state for blocking rotation of the auger after being brought at least approximately to a standstill by electric braking and thereafter maintaining the blocking device in the actuated state until the beginning of a successive dosing cycle.
Abstract:
An apparatus for packaging an extrudable material provides an extruder with a retractable nozzle which engages one of a series of molds mounted on a rotatable member and fills the mold against a back pressure exerted on a pressure plate within the mould. After filling the filled mold by the extrusion of a bar of material into the mold forcing the pressure plate back, a block is cut off the bar and the filled mold has a bag placed thereover and the block is ejected into the bag which is subsequently sealed and transported while confined to predetermined dimensions. A series of such blocks are then automatically loaded on to a pallet and covered with a carton.
