摘要: An adaptor tee for a filtration system, in particular for the permeate outlet port of a filtration vessel is provided. The adaptor tee has a main body of a single piece of plastic material having a cylindrical shape extending along an axial direction between opposing first and second ends. An inlet opening is provided in the first end of the main body for connecting the adaptor tee to a permeate outlet port of a filtration vessel. A first outlet opening is provided in the second end of the main body for connecting a sample valve. A first flow passage extends through the main body between the inlet opening and the first outlet opening. Furthermore, a second outlet opening through the lateral surface of the main body for a connection to a collection conduit is provided. A second flow passage extends through the main body between the first flow passage and the second outlet opening. The second flow passage meets the first flow passage in a T-junction.

摘要: A method for connecting a tubular part made of plastic to a neck of a fuel tank also made of plastic, by welding using a resistive element heated by a resistive effect. The shape and dimensions of the two parts to be connected are chosen such that one surface of each part is up against a corresponding surface of the other part. The resistive element is incorporated into one of the two surfaces, the two surfaces are brought into contact, and an electric current is passed through the resistive element at an intensity to allow the resistive element to be heated to a temperature high enough to melt the plastic of the two surfaces to weld them together. The tubular part and neck each include a barrier layer and are welded such that the two contact surfaces are coaxial and the barrier layers in the weld region are parallel.

摘要: A method of manufacturing by welding a shaped workpiece, which is formed of a plastic material and which consists of a tubular part having a radial bore and a union weldable to the tubular part in a region of the radial bore, includes bringing an end face surface of the union into abutting engagement with an outer circumference of the tubular part in the region of the radial bore, and heating a circular region around the radial bore of the tubular part and the end face surface of the union by heat radiation, with subsequent pressing the two parts against each other. The apparatus for implementing the method includes first and second clamping devices for supporting the union and the tubular part, respectively, with the second clamping device having a support member having a shape corresponding to an inner profile of the tubular part, and a pin supported in the support member for displacement in a direction transverse to a longitudinal axis of the support member, and a heating device for heating the two parts.

摘要: A method and apparatus for fabrication of nozzles on reinforced thermosetting resin structures, more particularly, a method and apparatus for fabricating nozzles on pipe headers. A main pipe section is provided with a through branch outlet, and a shaped mold is provided to fit through the outlet and to provide a form for molding of the desired nozzle. Parts of the main pipe section which are adjacent to the mold are chamfered on the outside. Resinous matrix laminates are then provided to cover the mold and adjacent parts of the main pipe section. The method provides a smooth corrosion resistant interior joint between the pipe header and the new nozzle, with a new primary laminate providing both corrosion resistance and strength properties comparable to preformed pipe parts of the same resinous matrix laminate materials.

摘要: A plastic pipe fitting includes a mounting section to be secured to a main pipe and a stem and a collar for receiving an end of a branch pipe. Flexible arms extend partially around the main pipe diverging from the outside surface of that pipe. The fitting is bonded to the main pipe by plastic plumbing solvent. Projections at the ends of the fitting's arms facilitate clamping tightly against the main pipe and receive connectors of a special clamping tool. The pipe includes a first connector, and an elastic member connected to the first connector and extending to a lever. The lever ends in a second connector and has a handle for pivoting the lever. Pivoting the lever with the two connectors in place flexes the arms inward and forces all contacting surfaces of the fitting and pipe into extremely high pressure contact for bonding. Once fitting and main pipe are bonded, the clamping tool is removed, a hole saw directed through the stem opens a hole into the main pipe. Perforations through the fitting's mounting section permit air escape and allow solvent and dissolved plastic to ooze through the holes. It includes a groove and compressible ring in the groove, but projecting slightly. Clearance between the groove and ring retains solvent when applied to the fitting surface. When the fitting is clamped against the pipe, the ring bulges, fills the clearance, and emits the retained solvent.
