Abstract: A plastic closure device for a container for parenteral pharmaceutical products having a bottle provided with a neck is provided. The plastic closure device has an outer cap with tearable weakenings to allow tear-off removal of the outer cap and an inner cage provided with a head having a central opening. A skirt ending in a lower edge extends below the central opening. Retaining elements for permanent snap engagement on the neck of the bottle are provided at the lower edge. The outer cap is snap-engaged under the lower edge of the inner cage by coupling elements. The plastic closure device guarantees authenticity of the container and its tightness even in the event of tampering attempts.

Abstract: Caps for sealing assemblies for sealing glass containers and maintaining container closure integrity at −80° C. or less are disclosed. The caps include a cap skirt having an annular body and a crimp region. The crimp region is a crimpable metal. The annular body of the cap skirt has a coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) greater than a CTE of a metal consisting of aluminum, a stiffness greater than or equal to 2 times a stiffness of the crimp region, or both. The greater CTE, stiffness, or both of the cap skirt increase the seal pressure and contact area between the stopper and glass container when cooled to −80° C. or less. The caps enable the sealing assemblies to maintain a helium leakage rate of the sealed glass container of less than or equal to 1.4×10−6 cm3/s at −80° C. or less.

Abstract: A drinking vessel including a beverage container and a closure assembly attachable to the beverage container. The beverage container has a spout defining a first drinking opening and a second drinking opening. The closure assembly includes a positioning member and a sealing member. When the positioning member is in a sealing orientation, the positioning member can extend deep enough into the first drinking opening for the sealing member to seal the first drinking opening and the second drinking opening. When the positioning member is not in the sealing orientation, the positioning member cannot extend deep enough into the first drinking opening for the sealing member to seal the first drinking opening and the second drinking opening.

Abstract: In one general aspect, a method for filling multiple containers with a pharmaceutical product is disclosed, which comprises decontaminating sealed nested materials in a transfer chamber, removing from the sealed nested materials one or both of a container nest holding the multiple containers and a closure nest holding multiple closures, transferring from the transfer chamber to a controlled environment enclosure the removed nest, aseptically filling the containers with the pharmaceutical product, and closing the containers with the multiple closures. The nests are configured to allow multiple closures and containers to be simultaneously aligned concentrically, and closed simultaneously. Spring-loaded retaining structures on the closure nest allow it to releasably retain multiple closures above the corresponding multiple containers. In some embodiments the spring-loaded features are monolithically integrated with the closure nest. The product may be lyophilized in partially sealed containers while the sealing closures are releasably retained by the closure nest.
