摘要： A device for inserting a utility marker is described that includes an elongated handle with upper and lower ends; a marker extractor adjacent the handle lower end that is moveable along a vertical pathway, and a marker magazine adjacent the handle lower end adapted to hold a plurality of stacked markers including a leading marker adjacent said marker extractor pathway. The extractor, when moved to its extended position by pushing on the plunger, extracts the leading marker from the stacked markers, and inserts the lower end of the marker into the ground. Simultaneously, a valve actuator at the lower end of the handle is moved to an operative position to open the valve of an aerosol can, spraying paint adjacent the marker. A unique marker for use with the device is also described, the marker including an extraction projection that is engageable by the lower end of the marker extractor.

摘要： The invention features, in general, a foaming product that includes a container, a valve stem extending upward from the top of the container, a nozzle member, and a waste product containment region located above the top of the container. The valve stem is movable downward to permit discharge of the foaming product from the container through the stem. The nozzle member includes a flow passage for directing the foaming product from the top of the valve stem to a discharge outlet and a movable portion that is movable between a discharge position and an inactive position. When the movable portion is in the discharge position, the valve stem is actuated to permit discharge of product into the flow passage and out of the discharge outlet, and the flow passage does not communicate with the containment region. When the movable portion is in the inactive position, the valve is not actuated, and the flow passage communicates with the waste product containment region such that undischarged foaming product in the flow channel is directed to the waste product containment region.

摘要： An aerosol valve assembly, lacking a return spring and dip tube, has a valve housing and a valve body with a lower portion, an intermediate portion and a valve stem. A gasket in a stem groove seals one or more orifice openings into the valve stem except on valve actuation. The valve housing has a lower wall with a central opening for the valve body lower portion to enter to stabilize the vertically acting valve; and, a plurality of product delivery openings positioned about the central opening. A stroke-limiting surface on the valve body prevents the gasket from completely escaping the stem groove on valve actuation. When valve actuation ceases, the valve is returned to closed position by the gasket acting against the stem groove, and the product acting against the valve body bottom portion and the lower surface of the valve body intermediate portion.

The outer and inner wall segments are oppositely-directed frustoconical shapes forming a small acute angle with each other when the barrier is initially inserted into the container. The outer wall segment may be thicker and more rigid than the inner wall segment. The barrier is nestable with like barriers.
