    摘要： An apparatus for metering bulk material includes a downwardly open supply chute; a metering screw having an intake length portion for receiving bulk material from the supply chute; a motor operatively connected to the metering screw for imparting rotation thereto; and a tubular metering screw casing accommodating the metering screw and arranged for guiding therein the bulk material advanced by the metering screw during rotation thereof. The metering screw is oriented obliquely with respect to the horizontal. There is further provided a spout supported at the discharge end of the metering screw and arranged for receiving the bulk material advanced thereby. The spout has a downwardly curving configuration and a substantially vertically downwardly oriented outlet opening.

    摘要： An apparatus and method for breaking up clumps of grain encountered during the emptying of a grain bin includes a beater assembly having a shaft with a plurality of knives extending radially therefrom. The beater assembly is adapted to be attached to or unattached from an end of a sweep auger. The beater assembly is positioned to overlay a gated opening in the floor of the grain bin through which grain flows during unloading thereof. The same motor used to drive the bin's discharge auger located below the bins floor also is made to drive the beater assembly located above the floor by linking the shaft of the discharge auger through a pair of right angle gear boxes to the shaft of the beater assembly.

    摘要： A screw conveyor apparatus suitable for conveying and processing flowable materials such as particulate materials and slurries, for example, which incorporates cleaning or scraping elements for dislodging the accumulation of materials from the surfaces of the helical flight. The apparatus comprises an elongated housing defining a conveying chamber in which a helical flight is rotatably supported formed with a central axially extending bore through at least a portion of the length thereof and a shaft slidably disposed in the bore and reciprocable and rotatable relative to the helical flight. A series of scraper elements are mounted on the shaft adjacent to the leading and trailing surfaces of the helical flight and a drive mechanism is provided for rotating the helical flight and the shaft. A power mechanism is provided for intermittently or continuously reciprocating the shaft relative to the helical flight to effect a traversing movement of the scraper elements along the helical surfaces to effect dislodgement of any accumulated material therefrom.
