Defects in the production of bottles can thus be avoided.

    摘要: A glassware-forming neck ring system includes a neck ring assembly and a carrier assembly carrying the neck ring assembly. The neck ring assembly includes a neck ring guide having a first forming aperture therethrough around a vertical axis, and a neck ring divided along a longitudinal axis into neck ring sections carried by the neck ring guide and movable toward and away from one another along the neck ring guide along a lateral axis. The carrier assembly includes a carrier having a body with a second forming aperture therethrough, longitudinally opposite ends, laterally opposite sides between the ends, and a channel extending between the sides, restricting movement of the neck ring assembly along the vertical and longitudinal axes, and permitting movement of the neck ring assembly along the lateral axis.

    摘要: A device for forming a hollow glass article from a parison is provided. The hollow glass article includes a ring extending around an axis, a body and at least one shoulder extending between the ring and body. The device includes a mold including a plurality of portions movable between a closed configuration and an open configuration. The closed configuration defines a first imprint for forming the body of the article. The device also includes a blowing head movable between a blowing position and a rest position. In the blowing position, the blowing head injects at least one gas jet into an inside of the parison. The blowing head includes at least one face defining a second imprint for forming at least one portion of the at least one shoulder in the blowing position. A method and hollow glass article are also provided.

    摘要: In a machine for forming glass items, a mold having two half-molds movable between a closed forming position and an open extraction position by a mold opening/closing group is provided. The mold includes two handling arms, each connected to a respective half-mold, which are rotated about respective fixed hinge axes by a single linear actuator. The mobile member translates in a direction parallel to the fixed hinge axes, and is connected to the handling arms by a mechanical transmission having a respective guide-and-slide assembly for each handling arm.

    摘要: Disclosed are high temperature free-flow mold for the production of near net-shape silica articles and method for the production of near net-shape silica articles. The mold is preferably made of graphite, preferably coated with SiC on the surfaces of the mold cavity. The mold and the process use no or less refractory elastic materials than that disclosed in the prior art, and does not alter or contaminate the glass composition. The mold the process are particularly suitable for the production of high purity silica articles for use in VUV and EUV lithographic devices.

    摘要: A press and blow glassware forming machine includes a blank mold having an internal cavity, a narrowing internal surface at an upper end of the cavity, and an alignment surface externally surrounding the narrowing internal surface. A baffle assembly includes a baffle cup having a rim for engaging the alignment surface on the blank mold to algin the baffle assembly with the blank mold, a baffle post moveably mounted within the baffle cup and having a narrowing external surface for engagement with the narrowing internal surface of the blank mold cavity, and a spring between the baffle cup and baffle post for biasing the baffle post into the baffle cup. The baffle assembly is moved against the blank mold bringing the baffle cup into engagement with the alignment surface of the blank mold, and then the baffle post engages the narrowing internal surface of the blank mold.

    摘要: A method and a machine for the production of hollow glassware articles, by the blow-and-blow, press-and-blow, press-and-blow paste mold and direct-press processes in a glassware forming machine including single or multiple machine sections each having single or multiple-cavity, comprising: forming a parison in an inverted orientation, into a blank mold and a first transferable and open-able neck ring mold held by an inverting apparatus having a first and a second diametrically opposed arms, each arm holding a transferable and open-able neck ring mold; inverting the parison held by the first transferable and open-able neck ring mold, by rotating the first arm 180° to an upright orientation at an intermediate station, while the second arm with a second transferable and open-able neck ring mold is simultaneously placed at the parison forming station; transferring the first transferable and open-able neck ring mold holding the parison in an upright orientation, from the intermediate station, to a blow mold station, by a transference apparatus; releasing the first parison into a blow mold, and turning back the first transferable and open-able neck ring mold empty to the first arm of the inverting apparatus, at the intermediate station to be placed again at the parison forming station by rotating the first arm additional 180°, completing a 360° turn, while the second arm reaches to the intermediate station; blowing the parison into a blow mold to form a finished article; and transferring the finished article in an upright orientation, once the blow mold is opened, by a take out apparatus, to place it at a dead plate or at a carrying conveyor.
