    摘要: A rail brace assembly for bracing a rail with respect to a tie plate. The rail brace assembly includes a brace member, a locking member, a retention member and a spring clip fastener. The brace member has a top surface adapted to engage a head fishing surface of the rail, a bottom surface adapted to engage a base fishing surface of the rail, a front friction surface and an outwardly extending toe. The retention member is adapted to be attached to the tie plate and includes a bore adapted to receive a first end of the fastener and a recess adapted to receive the toe of the brace member to thereby prevent vertical movement of the brace member and the rail. The locking member has a front surface, a rear friction surface adapted to engage the front friction surface of the brace member, and a pair of spaced apart outwardly extending legs which straddle the retention member. A first end of the fastener is inserted into the bore of the retention member and a second end of the fastener biases the rear friction surface of the locking member into interlocking engagement with the front friction surface of the brace member to thereby inhibit lateral movement of the brace member with respect to the locking member.

    摘要: A brace assembly provides support to a railroad rail, such as for a switch. The rail is supported on a tie plate. A wedge block is secured to the tie plate adjacent the rail. A groove is located in the inner wall of the wedge block. The groove extends longitudinally between the side walls and is spaced between the upper and lower sides of the wedge block. A brace has a tapered upper edge and a tapered lower edge that engage the rail. The brace has a tongue that extends outward from the base into the groove. The tongue and groove have widths that decrease from one side to the other. Moving the brace longitudinally relative to the wedge block enables the brace to be wedged between the wedge block and the rail. A spring clip secures the brace to the wedge block.

    摘要: A rail brace assembly provides positive support for a stock rail mounted on a switch brace plate. The assembly includes a rail brace that it is installed over a fixed block attached to the brace plate. The block has a slot and a channel that accept a mating rib and tapered wings connected to the underside of the rail brace. The interaction of these elements provides vertical restraint for the rail brace. The brace assembly includes a stop that is secured to the brace plate and a tapered wedge that is disposed between the stop and the rail brace. Upon driving the wedge longitudinally of the rail, lateral force is applied to the rail brace and the rail. The stop and the wedge employ a longitudinally extending tongue and groove to prevent relative vertical movement therebetween. The junction between the wedge and the rail brace is defined by mating convex-concave surfaces. A shear member such as a cotter pin prevents the wedge from being retracted once the wedge has been driven to a desired longitudinal position. Because the wedge cannot be moved inadvertently, lateral force will be applied continuously to the rail brace by the wedge.

    摘要: A rail brace assembly provides positive support for a stock rail mounted on a switch brace plate. The assembly includes a rail brace having a generally central opening that it is installed over a fixed clip housing attached to the brace plate. The clip housing accepts a resilient clip that secures the rail brace in position on the brace plate and against the stock rail. The resilient clip provides spring force directly to the rail brace in both a vertically downward direction and a lateral direction. The rail brace has a lug to prevent the clip from being removed from the clip housing due to vibration. The clip housing prevents the brace from moving laterally even if the clip breaks or becomes disengaged. The brace assembly includes a stop that is secured to the brace plate and a tapered wedge that is disposed between the stop and the rail brace. Upon driving the wedge longitudinally of the rail, lateral force is applied to the rail brace and the rail. The stop and the wedge employ a longitudinally extending tongue and groove to prevent relative vertical movement therebetween. The junction between the wedge and the rail brace is defined by mating convex-concave surfaces.     摘要: A rail arrangement includes a bullheaded rail having joint ties and a rail head, a rail bridge and a rail foot. There is a driving track made of concrete with an integrated joint, in which the rail is seated in connection with a substrate; as well as profiles made of elastomeric material. The profiles includes a base profile arranged below the foot of the rail and which has flanges on both sides which completely or partially grip around the foot of the rail. The base profile has a plurality of channels having a rhombic cross-sectional shape and extending in the longitudinal direction of the rail, which are arranged in the plane extending parallel with the underside of the foot of the rail. The channels at the edges of the base profile have a smaller cross sectional shape than the channels at the center area. There are two side profiles abutting the rail on both sides. One of the side profiles preferably has a tracking groove on the side of the wheel rim. There is also a joint tie coating.
