摘要： A two-piece fastening arrangement for joining two structural greenhouse panels. The fastener is capable of connecting a wide range of thicknesses of structural panels. A cap member snaps into a base member and biases the structural panels between the cap and base. The snap engagement is between two sets of cooperative arms extending from each member, one member having hooks which are inserted into recessed areas or notches of the other member. The notched member has a plurality of notches in the arms making the fastener capable of connecting a wide range of different width panels. The cap member has a crescent shape to bias the structural panel and improve the sealing of the joint. With the crescent shape and size of the notches, different thicknesses of panels can be connected to each other with a uniform fastener.

摘要： An improved extruded resilient flush-look window molding adapted for pre-attachment to a glass plate for concealing the gap between a body panel window opening and the edge of the glass plate. The molding has a stem portion with first and second self-biased retaining legs on one side thereof, adapted to engage the glass edge and a diverging third leg extending from the stem portion opposite side supporting an integral arcuate sectioned trim strip in cantilever fashion on the diverging leg upper end. The trim strip projects inwardly to overlie the gap and the molding stem portion. The divergent leg is self-biased for cammed inward flexing during insertion of the glass plate. Thus, the trim strip self-adjusts inwardly so as to maintain its engagement with the plate outer surface while accommodating production tolerance gaps.

摘要： Several embodiments of window frame assemblies comprising novel window framing members for supporting a glazing product are described. In one embodiment, a window frame assembly is described comprising a conventional framing member including a novel rotatable rod means for preventing the cutting through of the framing member as by a saw. In another embodiment, a window frame assembly is described comprising a frame member for installing pre-glazed windows with or without a rotatable rod means in the framing member, said member including a separately attachable leg member for attaching the pre-glazed window to a pre-installed sub-framing member. In still other embodiments, window frame assemblies are described comprising novel mullions for joining pairs of pre-glazed windows. The mullions, as described, may optionally include means for the attachment of a partition and the aforementioned rotatable rod means.

摘要： What is disclosed is a conversion muntin for use on a glazing muntin to adapt the latter to support light-transmitting plastic panels, including a muntin cover element and a clamping strip. The cover element has a T-shaped configuration including a recessed stem portion and a pair of oppositely extending bearing arms. The stem is recessed to receive a portion of the glazing muntin and has a plurality of longitudinally-extending grooves formed therein. The clamping strip comprises a pair of elongated parallely-extending rails and a hood integrally formed therewith and adapted to receive the stem of the conversion muntin. The rails have oppositely-facing slightly-spaced lips which receive the conversion muntin stem therebetween and which engage said grooves to hold light-transmitting panels against the bearing arms of the conversion muntin.

摘要： A batten, adapted to retain at least one of a pair of juxtaposed, unitary, coextruded solar collector panels to the structural members of a building, the batten having a substantially horizontal retention member, portions of which extend over portions of the top of the adjacent collector panels, and a pair of substantially vertical leg members contacting and depending from the retention member and adapted to retain the adjacent collector panels in juxtaposed position, the batten further allowing for thermal expansion in a lengthwise and crosswise direction, while also reducing bowing of the collector panels from their planar configuration. The batten is capable of unitary formation in lengths sufficient to retain the adjacent collector panels in place along substantially their entire length.

摘要： A roofing and siding system is disclosed. The system includes a plurality of elongate, generally planar sheets each having upwardly projecting flanges disposed along the lateral edges of the sheet. The flanges each have an outwardly directed C-shaped cross section. The sheets are placed side-by-side so that the lateral edges thereof are juxtaposed to corresponding lateral edges of adjacent sheets to provide a surface comprising the exposed surface of a building. Clips are provided for attaching the planar sheets to the building. A plurality of elongate battens are provided which are constructed of resilient material. Each batten has a generally rectangular cross section including two longer, substantially parallel sides and two relatively shorter sides. One of the shorter sides of each batten is slit so that the batten can be snapped over adjacent flanges on juxtaposed lateral edges of two of the planar sheets to provide weatherproofing at the edges.
