摘要: A break-away canopy assembly configured for use with a work platform in an elevator hoistway is provided. The break-away canopy assembly includes a plurality of spaced apart canopy posts in a substantially vertical orientation. A first support framework is connected to one or more of the spaced apart canopy posts. A second support framework is connected to one or more of the spaced apart canopy posts and opposes the first support framework. The first and second support frameworks each have connected first and second extension assemblies. One or more roof sections span and are connected to the first and second support frameworks. The first and second extension assemblies of the first support framework and the first and second extension assemblies of the second support frameworks are each configured to separate from each other in the event of an uncontrolled descent of the work platform.

摘要: The present invention provides temporary protection of outside objects from wind, rain, snow, or other elements. In particular, the present invention is a system of supports and fabric or plastic panels that are erected to provide a continuous protective covering over an area, structure, or object. The components of the system may be assembled in various configurations as the situation demands. The system requires minimal labor to install and the covering can be readily raised and lowered as desired.

摘要: A work apparatus for a work on a wall surface of a structure, e.g., a building, comprises rail supports secured fixedly to an upper end portion of a structure, upper provisional horizontal rails supported provisionally on these rail supports, lower provisional horizontal rails mounted provisionally on a lower portion of a wall surface of the structure in parallel with the upper provisional horizontal rails, upper horizontally running trolleys mounted slidably on the upper provisional horizontal rails and connected to one another, a working platform, e.g., a moving scaffold, hung from the upper horizontally running trolleys in a manner to be movable in the vertical direction, a hanging frame hung from the upper horizontally running trolleys, a protecting material such as a protecting net hung from the hanging frame in a manner to enclose the working platform, a protecting material platform connected to the lower end of the protecting material, and lower horizontally running trolleys secured to the protecting material platform and mounted slidably on the lower provisional horizontal rails. In this work apparatus, a portion of the structure covered by a protecting net is minimized so that a work at an elevated location can be done by covering only a minimal portion necessary for the work.

摘要: A modular construction shelter for protecting workers and equipment or building materials adjacent a building wall. The shelter comprises a plurality of substantially identical lightweight panels that can be interconnected interchangeably into wall and roof sections. Each panel comprises a rectangular frame of flat-edged frame members covered by a lightweight sheet of flexible weatherproof cover material such as clear plastic, with interconnection features such as aligned bores for clips or bolts formed through the frame members behind the plastic sheeting to secure the panels to one another. Each flexible weatherproof cover includes an overlap flap of the sheet material extending beyond lower and first-side edges of the frame, the overlap flap including interior-facing fastener material to mate with corresponding exterior-facing fastener material formed on the outside faces of the upper and second-side frame members of adjacent panels.

摘要: An apparatus and method for the containment of vertical structures using a flexible, collapsible, and movable shroud. The shroud containment system protects the surrounding environment by catching liquid and solid debris and contaminants from the inside and protects the enshrouded structure and workers from wind, debris, contaminants, and precipitation on the outside as well as providing enhanced protection against falling persons and equipment. The shroud also conceals the vertical structure in whole or in part and greatly eases the setup, takedown, and relocation of the shroud along the axis of the vertical structure due to its modular, impermanent design and method of erection, collapse, and translation.
