摘要: A single tool carrier reciprocatingly driven in opposite directions by a pair of double ended reciprocating pneumatic pistons, one of the pistons driving the carrier through rack and pinion gear means and the other piston driving the carrier through a pin integrally connected to the carrier, mounted vertically on the carrier and engaging the said other piston. Seal rings, preferably of Teflon, are mounted on both ends of both pistons. The pistons operate in opposite directions. One piston is made relatively light so that its weight and the weight of the other shoe are counterbalanced against each other.

摘要: An air operated spring brake which has a diaphragm upon which air acts to compress an energy storing spring in readiness to apply the brakes on a vehicle when the air pressure is released is so arranged that the push rod which links the spring through the diaphragm to the brake applying apparatus is connected to the diaphragm and supported in the spring brake actuator in a manner permitting the push rod to be displaced from its true axis upon compression and expansion of the spring so that the spring can establish its own position of equilibrium.

摘要: An engine having a cylinder fastened to the engine ease with the biconcave internal partition, which divides the cylinder into the upper and bottom parts. Sparking plugs are mounted on both sides of the partition. The upper and the bottom parts of the cylinder have side scavenging channels which connect suction spaces to the working spaces of both parts of the cylinder. The upper and bottom parts of the cylinder have inlet and outlet orifices. Inside the upper and inside the bottom part of the cylinder and the upper and bottom piston are placed respectively, while both pistons are directed towards each other by the working surfaces. The pistons are connected by a rod that is led through the linear bearing that is embedded in the partition forming a seal. The connecting rod is fastened to the bottom piston and by its other end it is connected to the crankshaft.

摘要: A mechanical device comprising, a gear rack having a first point and a second point; at least one piston attached either to said first point or said second point; said piston having an exterior surface and an interior surface; wherein said exterior surface is facing away from said gear rack and wherein said gear rack is attached to said interior surface; said gear rack being gyratingly coupled with an actuator shaft; wherein said gear rack is capable of moving in a substantially linear direction due to a force being applied to said exterior surface or said interior surface; and wherein said actuator shaft rotating due to the said motion of said gear rack; in another embodiment, at least one piston having an interior surface and an exterior surface; said inner side pivotingly mated with a connecting rod; said connecting rod having an opposing point B which is rotationally fastened to a counterbalance; said counterbalance rotating about an actuating shaft; a cylinder chamber having with a top breach housing said at least one piston; a pull shaft pivotingly connected to said exterior surface with pivoting joint and to a gear rack with a second pivoting joint; said pull shaft reciprocly advancing within said top breach; said reciprocation causing said gear rack to similarly reciprocate causing rotation of an input shaft; wherein said input shaft is mated with said gear rack through a one way gear box; and an accelerating spark plug, disposed in the body of said cylinder chamber for igniting combustible materials introduced into said cylinder chamber.

摘要: A thermally powered engine which obtains energy from a closed heat transfer loop. The engine has two power cylinders. A piston is reciprocally mounted within each cylinder and divides the interior space of each cylinder into two portions. A piston rod is affixed to each piston and extends through the upper closed end of each cylinder. A flexible diaphragm is mounted in the lower portion of each cylinder and with the lower closed end of the cylinder forms a power chamber. A fluid fills the upper portion of both cylinders. A passageway between the cylinders permits the fluid to act as a free piston causing the piston of the cylinder in its exhaust stroke to force refrigerant from its power chamber to the condenser of the heat transfer loop. Refrigerant from the evaporator of the transfer loop flowing into a power chamber forces the piston upward during the pistons power stroke. Valves regulate the flow of refrigerant into and out of the power chambers of each of the power cylinders. Flow of refrigerant is controlled so that motion of the pistons of the two power cylinders is 180.degree. out of phase. Several pairs of power cylinders can be connected in series with the refrigerant flowing through the pairs serially prior to reaching the condenser. Isothermal sequential displacement of the refrigerant through the power chambers of a series of pairs of power cylinders increases the thermal efficiency of the engine.
