摘要: A control method for controlling a spring loaded brake actuator (9) comprising a first chamber (Ch1) to receive a parking brake pressure (PBR) acting against a main spring (92), and a second chamber (Ch2) to receive a service brake pressure (SB) for applying a service brake force, the method comprising a circumstantial selection of one control law among a set of control laws comprising two or more compound control laws: —where the first compound control law (CL1), known as anti-compound mode, is such the service brake pressure (SB) is electronically controlled such that the resulting total braking force (F) does not exceed a first upper limit (UL1) corresponding to the force of the main spring (92) when the parking brake pressure (PBR) is substantially null, —where the second compound control law (CL2), known as controlled-compound mode, is such that the service brake pressure (SB) is electronically controlled such that the resulting total braking force (F) does not exceed a second upper limit (UL2) higher than the first upper limit.

摘要: An electropneumatic valve assembly is for activating a parking brake function of an electropneumatic brake system. The valve assembly has a pilot control unit and a main valve unit configured to actuate a parking brake pressure at least at one spring-accumulator connection. The valve assembly has a service brake connection for receiving a service brake pressure and a safety valve. The safety valve, by receiving a safety control pressure, is switchable from a venting position, in which the safety valve connects the pilot control unit to a vent, to a supply position, in which the safety valve supplies the pilot control valve with reservoir pressure, the safety valve remaining in the supply position or switching to the venting position as a function of an actuated pressure. The service brake connection is connected to the safety valve control connection.

摘要: An interface between an adapter push rod and a parking brake diaphragm seal includes an axial projection at one end of the push rod, a thread extending axially between a free end of the projection and a remainder of the push rod, and a washer having an approximately conical wall extending radially inwardly from an outer circumference of the washer towards a central mounting connection having a radial flange. A nut is threaded over the free end of the projection, and an opening in a hardened element is aligned axially with the projection to receive the projection. A circumferential groove defined in a side of the radial flange forms a boundary between the approximately conical wall and a remainder of the washer, and a portion of the diaphragm seal is pressed by the nut and the hardened element into the circumferential groove to produce a sealing bead.

摘要: A valve arrangement for use in a parking brake system of a commercial vehicle or trailer, includes a differential piston having a first section and a second section, wherein the second section has a smaller diameter compared to the first section, and wherein there is a fluidic connection between the first section and the second section. The arrangement includes a housing with a bore, in which the differential piston is adapted to move. The bore has at least two sections, wherein the first section corresponds to the diameter of the first section of the differential piston, and the second section corresponds to the diameter of the second section of the differential piston, and wherein a step is formed between the first section and second section of the bore. A first passage and a second passage are arranged and axially spaced in the bore, and a third passage is arranged in or next to the second section of the bore. When the differential piston is in a first end position, the second section of the differential piston rests against the step, and a connection of the first passage and the second passage within the bore is provided. When the differential piston is in a second end position, a connection of the first passage and the second passage within the bore is blocked.

In this case, a switching valve is provided, which fluidically connects the one fluid outlet of the second inlet valve in a first switching position to the second wheel brake and in a second switching position to the first wheel brake.

摘要: A pneumatic spring brake cylinder is provided for brake systems of vehicles, including a housing in which a spring brake piston loaded by an accumulator spring and connected to a spring brake piston tube is guided in a movable manner, and an emergency release device for the emergency release of the spring brake piston in the event of a drop in pressure. The emergency release device contains a spindle which can be rotated relative to the spring brake cylinder and which can be screwed in a nut that is held in a rotationally fixed manner in the spring brake piston tube by a form-fitting connection. The nut interacts with an axial stop on the spring brake piston in order to trigger a release movement against the effect of the accumulator spring. The formfitting connection is formed between an outer polygonal profiled section of the outer circumference of the nut in a circumferential direction and a complementary circumferential inner polygonal profiled section on the inner circumference of an intermediate bushing and between an outer polygonal profiled section of the outer circumference of the intermediate bushing in the circumferential direction and a complementary circumferential inner polygonal profiled section on the inner circumference of the spring brake piston tube.

摘要: The present disclosure increases the braking force of a parking spring brake mechanism without enlarging a device and without substantial increase in cost. The subject of the present disclosure is a brake cylinder device provided with a parking spring brake mechanism wherein a first piston moves in a prescribed braking direction. The brake cylinder device is provided with a brake force transmitting section having an inclined surface 38 that is inclined so as to press a brake output section in an advancement direction by moving along with the first piston in the braking direction. The inclined surface includes a first inclined surface provided in a distal end portion, and a second inclined surface provided in a proximal end portion and inclined more than the first inclined surface with respect to the advancement direction.
