The idle valve (30) is disposed adjacent the outlet port (44) and is arranged to selectively restrict fluid flow during use in a direction through the idle valve (30) towards the supercharging device (28). A corresponding supercharging kit and an internal combustion engine including a supercharging system are also disclosed.

    摘要: In a control device for an internal combustion engine having a turbocharger with a variable turbo flow rate, and an intake valve provided with a variable valve mechanism, mirror cycle operation is performed. The control device includes a device which calculates an intake air quantity per unit time and an intake air quantity per cycle on the basis of torque required to the internal combustion engine. The turbocharger is controlled so that, with the calculated intake air quantity per unit time, supercharging pressure is further increased in a range in which the ratio of exhaust pressure to supercharging pressure is equal to or less than a predetermined value. A further device, which controls the variable valve mechanism on the basis of the supercharging pressure and the calculated intake air quantity per cycle.

    摘要: A microbubble generator includes a fuel pump for pumping fuel with an introduction pipe for guiding the liquid toward the inlet of the fuel pump. An air pipe includes one end joined with the introduction pipe from the side, and the other end opened as an air inlet. A bubble generating orifice is disposed in an output side pipe of the fuel pump. The air pipe is formed of an intake air pipe and a joint side air pipe. An air amount adjustment orifice is disposed at a joint portion between the joint side air pipe and the introduction pipe. The bubble generating orifice has a taper portion with the diameter reduced from the input side to the output side.

    摘要: A combustor for a gas turbine engine is disclosed which is able to operate with high combustion efficiency, and low nitrous oxide emissions during gas turbine operations. The combustor consists of a can-type configuration which combusts fuel premixed with air and delivers the hot gases to a turbine. Fuel is premixed with air and is delivered to the combustor with a high degree of swirl motion. This swirling mixture of reactants is conveyed through a flowpath that expands; the mixture reacts, and establishes a central recirculation zone. An imperforate trapped vortex cavity is disposed proximal to the swirler apparatus which provides for a second reaction zone. Fresh fuel/air reactants are exchanged with burned products in the trapped vortex and a pilot flame is established in the trapped cavity. The imperforate trapped cavity is not supplied with either fuel or air, but is cooled on a backside of the cavity with a flow of cooling air. The cooling air is then conveyed to the combustion chamber so as to not interfere with the critical flame holding flow features of the combustor.

    摘要: An intake manifold for use with a combustion engine is disclosed. The intake manifold comprises a dimensionally stable induction pipe body having at least one first flow-through opening and at least one first adjusting element arranged in the first flow-through opening to vary the available cross-sectional area of the passage. This adjusting element takes the form of a throttle valve, which is rotatably supported in the induction pipe body and which is capable of being forced to engage sealingly with the boundary wall of the first flow-through opening. In the area of the throttle valve, the induction pipe body has at least one second flow-through opening, which is allocated as a by-pass so as to be adjacent to the first flow-through opening, said second flow-through opening being capable of being sealed by at least one second adjusting element, which is comprised of a one-way valve that is only able to be forced into an open position in the direction of the attached combustion engine.
