Abstract:
Methods and systems are provided for coatings of a portion of an engine block shaping a combustion chamber. In one example, the engine block includes a first coating with a thermal conductivity higher than a conductivity of the engine block arranged in an upper region of the combustion chamber and a second coating with a thermal conductivity lower than the conductivity of the engine block arranged in a lower region of the combustion chamber, and where the second coating touches the first coating.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a manufacturing method of aluminum alloy having high wear resistance, in particular, to manufacturing method of aluminum alloy by dispersing silicon particle on only required part of wear resistance, and infiltrating the molten metal into the preform of silicon particle.
Abstract:
An air-cooled multi-cylinder internal combustion engine in which cooling air flows through a cylinder row transversely to the cylinders. A one-piece deflection part made of light-metal or plastic material and covering all cylinders is arranged as air guide device at the cooling air discharge side.
Abstract:
A cylinder liner with a ring-shaped insert. Such inserts ensure that the carbon deposited on the fire land of the piston cannot contact the cylinder surfaces below the insert. The task to be solved by the invention is to simplify and improve the securing of such an insert, on the one hand to facilitate installation and removal and, on the other hand, to ensure greater reliability. Also, the insert is intended to be suitable for retrofitting. Essentially, this is achieved in that the ring-shaped insert is provided at its upper end with a flange that extends over the entire top cross-sectional area of the cylinder liner.
Abstract:
A cylinder for reciprocable internal combustion engines with a top section fixedly connected to the cylinder into which a cylinder bushing is inserted in dry condition. One end of the cylinder bushing extends with slight radial play into an annular flat groove provided in the top section of the cylinder and having its inner circumferential surface form an angle in excess of 70.degree. with that portion of the top section which faces toward the interior of the cylinder.
