    摘要: A belt for an elevator system includes a tension member extending at least partially across a belt width and extending longitudinally along a length of the belt, the tension member formed at least partially from a plurality of aromatic polyester based fibers, and a jacket material at least partially encapsulating the tension member. An elevator system includes a hoistway, an elevator car located in the hoistway and movable therein, and a belt operably connected to the elevator car to suspend and/or drive the elevator car along the hoistway. The belt includes a tension member extending at least partially across a belt width and extending longitudinally along a length of the belt. The tension member is formed at least partially from a plurality of aromatic polyester based fibers. A jacket material at least partially encapsulates the tension member.

    摘要: A belt comprises at least a belt body made of a polymer material having elastic properties, the belt including a cover layer as a belt backing, a substructure having a force-transmission zone, and a tension member in a ribbed design embedded in the belt body. The tension member is prepared with a cross-linked polyurethane in such a way that the polyurethane fills at least part of the tension member cavities. The polyurethane filling material enters into a mechanical connection to the tension member on the one hand and an adhesive connection to the belt body on the other hand. The polyurethane filling material has a Shore A hardness that is 0.5 to 10 times harder than the Shore A hardness of the belt body. The belt body is preferably likewise made of cross-linked polyurethane, in particular using a carbon tension member.

    摘要: The endless drive belt is produced by winding a pre-formed load-carrying member comprising a cord embedded in a solid but softenable elastic material along and around a surface of an endless compression member belt also comprising a solid but softenable elastic material, thereby forming layer comprising a plurality of turns, and by simultaneously causing said turns to become intimately bonded to said surface. Said bonding is achieved by applying mutual pressure between said turns and said surface during winding and by selectively softening the surface layers of both said load-carrying member and said endless compression member belt which re to come into contact with each other, just prior to coming into contact with each other. The material of said surface layers is allowed to fuse. Said turns of said load-carrying member are further allowed to be partially impressed in said surface of said endless compression member belt. Softening may be carried out by the application of heat and/or the application of an adhesive. A device for carrying out the above method is also disclosed. With the device disclosed endless drive belts may be easily produced in-house at the time they are required at any size and at minimal costs and capital outlay.

    摘要: Disclosed herein is an adjustable endless belt particularly adapted for use in high speed power transmission and commonly termed a fan belt. The belt is comprised of a length of flexible and durable polymeric material, having a central longitudinal channel extending therethrough and a length of flexible and durable cord slightably disposed within the channel and extending the length thereof. The desired belt size is determined by cutting the length of polymeric material with the cord contained therein to the desired length, pulling a portion of the cord from one end of the length polymeric material, applying an adhesive to the exposed cord and the ends of the polymeric material and inserting the exposed cord within the open channel then defined by the other end of the length of polymeric material.
