    摘要: A ball nut drive assembly includes a ball nut having a bore extending axially therethrough, a ball screw extending through the bore of the ball nut and being cooperatively engaged with the ball nut, and a spring compliant member received on the ball screw and positioned adjacent the ball nut. The spring compliant member is tensioned to bias the ball nut in the axial direction along the ball screw. The ball nut is positioned within a housing, which is preferably fabricated of aluminum, and is generally rotatably supported therein by first and second sets of ball bearings. The spring compliant member is in intimate contact with a first inner surface of the housing and biases the ball nut against a second inner surface of the housing. Races encapsulating the first and second sets of bearings may be positioned adjacent the ball nut and in intimate contact with the first and second inner surfaces of the housing. The spring compliant member may be a spring wave washer, a Belleville washer, or some other type of spring compliant device.

    摘要: An anti-backlash nut assembly is on a reinforced lead screw having a threaded lead screw rotatable about a central axis. A hollow, elongated reinforcing rail extends lengthwise of and surrounding the lead screw. The reinforcing rail has a slot extending lengthwise of the central axis. The anti-backlash nut assembly has a nut moveable along the reinforcing rail. The anti-backlash nut has a pair of separate nut portions. Each nut portion has a tongue extending radially through the slot and having threads engagable with the threads of the lead screw for moving both nut portions in reciprocating motion lengthwise of the rail when the screw is rotated. A spacing mechanism forces the nut portions apart to urge the flanges of their threads into forcible engagement with the threads of the lead screw to prevent backlash while the anti-backlash nut translates laterally along the reinforcing rail.

    摘要: A drive mechanism for a variable center distance component insertion machine having a pair of component insertion tooling assemblies mounted adjacent each other so as to be laterally adjustable inwardly and outwardly relative to each other. Each tooling assembly has a gear rack mounted at its top. The racks engage an elongated pinion gear mounted proximate the toolings so as to engage the pair of tooling assembly gear racks. A servo motor rotates the pinion and, thereby, reciprocates the tooling assemblies toward and away from a circuit board. The tooling assemblies are adjusted laterally by a second servo motor coupled to the tooling assemblies by a double screw lead. During the lateral adjustment of the tooling assemblies the pair of rack gears remain in constant mesh with the elongated pinion gear.

    摘要: A take-up pulley for a carrier in an image processor has a drum-like section with a boss-like projection extending from one end. In one embodiment, a recess is formed at the other end of the drum-like section for receiving a bearing. A stopper flange is formed at the end of the drum-like section adjacent the boss-like projection. The take-up pulley can be formed by a suitable molding process such as extrusion using the mold adapted to be opened axially. The take-up pulley is fixedly mounted on the driving shaft in the housing of an image processor so that a gap G smaller than a diameter of a drive wire may be formed between the end surface of the drum-like section and an inner wall of the housing. In another embodiment, an annular stopper plate is affixed to the end of the drum section instead of the recess.

    摘要: Actuators for subsea downhole chokes have tended to include hydraulic pistons which are prone to failure and crude in accuracy. The invention provides an actuator (1) having first and second rotary motors (2, 16) and an output region (3) arranged to engage a load, such as a choke sleeve. In a first mode of operation, the first rotary motor (2) imparts linear motion to the output in a first screw connection (4, 5). In a second mode of operation, the second rotary motor (16) imparts linear motion to the output via a second screw connection (12, 14). The provision of screw connections permits gradual linear motion of the output to be achieved. The provision of two motors permits continuing performance in the event of failure of one of the motors.

The shaft has a reciprocating rod and a round slide which are aligned axially with one another. The round slide has an axial abutment of which limits the reciprocating movement of the round slide while the rotary movement is released. The reciprocating rod cooperates with a guide that prevents its rotation while permitting its reciprocation.

    摘要: There is described an actuator comprising an outer tube and an inner tube. In the actuator there is provided a spindle co-operating with a bushing for creating the displacement of the actuator by means of a motor. In order to establish an end stop in a secure way for preventing a wedging of the spindle and the bushing in extreme positions for the actuator, the bushing is disposed rotatable in relation to both tubes as it is arranged rotatable in a bushing housing. The actuator is arranged so that friction between the bushing and the bushing housing is greater that the friction occurring between the spindle and the bushing. Hereby rotation of the spindle will displace the bushing along the spindle until it reaches an extreme position. By an extreme position a pin on the bushing will hit a pin mounted in the spindle. At contact between the two pins the friction between the bushing and the housing is overcome, whereby the bushing will perform a continuous rotation together with the spindle without any risk of its wedging against and end face in the tubes.
