    摘要： A handle assembly for operating a valve of the type having a valve body and a pivotally mounted actuating spindle extending from the valve body has a mounting means to secure the assembly to the spindle, a handle portion connected to the mounting means and a pivotally mounted locking member. The locking member is pivotable, either by camming surfaces on the handle portion and the locking member or by a key, between a first, locked position in which it engages with a portion of the valve body, and a second, unlocked position in which it is free from the valve body and enables the valve spindle to be rotated by the handle portion.The locking member is provided with a number of apertures which can be aligned with corresponding apertures in the mounting means and the handle portion when the locking member is in its locked position. The apertures are shaped to receive tamper-sensitive tape or wire or the shackle of a padlock, to indicate or prevent unauthorized use of the valve.

    摘要： A system includes a valve, handle, guide, arm, channel, and projection. The handle is proximate the valve and is configured to open and close the valve. The handle is in a first position when the valve is open and in a second position when the valve is closed. The guide is connected to the handle. The arm is connected to the guide. The channel is located on one of the guide or the arm, the channel having opposed first and second ends. The projection is located on the other of the guide or the arm, the projection configured to be received in the channel. Moving the projection past a location of the first end of the channel pulls the guide and the handle, thereby moving the handle from the first position to the second position. The projection can be moved toward the second end while the handle remains in the second position.

    摘要： A valve locking system for safely and economically locking out control valves. The valve locking system includes a valve locking assembly for preventing manipulation of a valve including a rotating handle. The handle includes at least one aperture extending through the handle. The assembly includes a brace designed for coupling around a neck of the valve such that the brace is prevented from rotating around the neck of the valve. A cable includes a first end loop and a second end loop. The first end loop is coupled to the brace. The second end of the cable is insertable through the aperture in the handle. A locking member for coupling the first end loop to the second end loop such that the cable ties the handle to the brace whereby the handle is prevented from being rotated.
