    摘要: A pumping and trapping device is provided. The pumping and trapping device removes condensate from a heat exchanger even when upstream pressure in the device is lesser than the downstream pressure. The device includes a float operated mechanical linkage. The float is displaceable with respect to condensate level within a vessel of the device. The mechanical linkage is configured to selectively operate a steam inlet port and a steam outlet port configured on the vessel, thereby removing condensate accumulated within the vessel.

    摘要: A float drain for an enclosure can include a basket to collect liquid from the enclosure, a sealing structure surrounding an outlet of the basket, and a float configured to seat against the sealing surface to prevent fluid flow out of the outlet and to rise off of the sealing surface due to buoyancy forces as the liquid collects in the basket. The float drain can include other features, including: ribs or other protrusions extending into an interior are of the basket to space the float apart from an inner wall of the basket; an angled orientation of the sealing surface; and a trough, at least partly defined by the sealing structure, to collect debris.

    摘要: A dual function condensate drain trap for positive or negative pressure air handling unit applicable in positive or negative pressure environments by switching connecting directions includes a drain trap which has a water inlet and a water outlet on two sides to connect to a drain pipe, and a valve seat and a retaining element located on the valve seat movable between a first position to be in contact with the valve seat and a second position to be away from the valve seat. When the pressure of water column in the water inlet is smaller than that of the water outlet, the retaining element is on the first position to form an air lock to prevent air from entering or escaping from air handling unit. By contrast, when the pressure of water column in the water inlet is greater than that of the water outlet, the retaining element is moved to the first position to drain water.

    摘要: A valve member for an air eliminator is a flexible band or reed secured at one end to a movable float and at the other end to the housing adjacent a valve seat surrounding a port therein. A flexible sealing band formed of a resilient material overlies and is coextensive with the flexible band to provide a hermetic seal around the valve port when the float moves into a valve closing position. The sealing band is apertured where it overlies the port to equalize the pressure across the sealing band when it is positioned over the port.

    摘要: A drain valve including a housing having a float chamber, a piston chamber, and a plenum communicating with the piston chamber through a seat. The housing has a liquid inlet passage, and an outlet port. The drain valve has a tube passage communicating with the piston chamber. The drain valve includes an annular float. The drain valve includes a seal body connected to the float and rising away from the tube passage when liquid is in the float chamber. The drain valve includes a piston slidably mounted in the piston chamber having a head that moves away from the seat when gas enters the piston chamber. The piston includes a valve element that moves as the piston head moves to expose the liquid inlet port and allow liquid to flow from the liquid inlet passage through the plenum and into the liquid outlet passage.
