摘要: A high efficiency water heater comprising a generally cone shaped tank; an surrounding and spaced from the tank defining a passageway for flue gases between an inner surface of the enclosure and the outer surface of the tank, said enclosure having an outlet for flue gases; a burner communicating with the interior of said enclosure, and means for providing combustion air to said burner. The preferred embodiment includes baffle means attached to the outer surface of the tank for increasing heat transfer. One embodiment has a conduit passing vertically through the tank, and wherein the burner is disposed in an upper region and communicating with the conduit, and includes a fan for directing flue gases downward through the conduit and subsequently into and through said passageway between the inner surface of the enclosure and the outer surface of the tank.

摘要: An annular tube heat exchanger immersed in a medium, such as a fluid. The heat exchanger comprises a fluid-tight combustion tube including a gas-fired radiant burner for providing a source of heat, at least one heat exchange tube including an inner tube disposed within an outer tube, the outer tube in thermal contact with the combustion tube, the inner tube being open-ended to allow the fluid to pass therethrough, and a fluid-tight combustion tube in thermal contact with the outer tube of the at least one heat exchange tube. The combustion gas from the radiant burner passes through the outer tube of the at least one heat exchange tube to cause an increase in the temperature of the fluid. By providing the maximum amount of heat transfer surface area, the annular tube heat exchanger provides a highly efficient means of increasing the temperature of the fluid.

摘要: A separator/injector having an outlet pressure higher than an inlet pressure thereof is introduced instead of the dynamic equipment for a reactor recirculation system that is necessary in the prior art, to achieve both liquid-vapor separation and forced circulation. A jet pump and a recirculation flow-rate control valve are provided in a lower portion of a downcomer portion of a reactor pressure vessel. A shroud head has a double-walled structure, a two-phase liquid-vapor flow that is flowing from a lower portion of the lower shroud head is accelerated by an accelerator nozzle of the separator/injector, and a liquid component of the thus-separated flow is increased in pressure and guided into a jet pump through a space formed between the double shroud heads. Alternatively, a circular cylindrical separator/injector in which the steam nozzle and diffuser are disposed in a helical form in close proximity to the inner wall of a circular tube above the stand pipe could be provided instead of this separator/injector.
