摘要： A chimney vacuum system having an adapter head for fluidly removing accumulated soot under vacuum pressure from a flue or chimney. The chimney vacuum system includes a hose adapted to the head via a frictional fit. The adapter head of the chimney system has a body portion which narrows in volume from an outer diameter to an inner diameter. Extending from the inner diameter is a neck portion for attaching an effluent hose and refuse container downstream. The body of the adapter head includes a sealing gasket defined therein for providing a mechanical and fluid seal with a flue mechanism element in the flow path of the flue.

摘要： A fossil-fuel-fired system, which includes an emissions-control-agent dispenser, a furnace, an emissions monitor and, optionally, a controller, is disclosed. The emissions-control-agent dispenser provides a prescribed amount of organic-emissions-control agent, such as, for example, an opacity-control agent to the fossil-fuel-fired system. The furnace includes an exhaust communicating with the atmosphere. The emissions monitor is capable of measuring at least one property of the flue-gas communicated through the exhaust to the atmosphere. For example, when an organic-emissions-control agent is an opacity-control agent, the emissions monitor has the capability of at least measuring opacity. When included, the controller communicates with at least the emissions-control-agent dispenser and the emissions monitor.

The airflow in the thermal pre-processing chamber is toroidal. The thermal pre-processing chamber comprises an annular series of blades, a device for generating an air flow through the series of blades, a burner located under the series of blades, a cone shaped element in the center of the series of blades. The guiding duct has particle removal means, which are arranged to remove particles down to a size wherein the particles do not disturb processes in the main combustion chamber.

摘要： A chimney cleaning apparatus and method of using the same to clean a chimney. The chimney cleaning apparatus comprises a support structure for attaching the chimney cleaning apparatus adjacent an exhaust outlet of a chimney. An adjustable rotatable arm is supported by the support structure and a drive mechanism rotates the adjustable rotatable arm relative to the support structure. A cable is attached to a free end of the adjustable rotatable arm and the cable, during use, extending into a discharge passage of the chimney to facilitate cleaning of the chimney when the drive mechanism rotates the adjustable rotatable arm.
