    摘要: An energy conservation moderating system has a DPDT switch (16) in switching communication intermediate a micro controller (8) and a temperature-difference generator (7). The micro controller is in switching control of the temperature-difference generator programmably through the DPDT switch in option to switching control of the temperature-difference generator by a conventional thermostat (1). The micro controller is preferably a Z 8 micro controller having a memory into which an application-specific program in the microcontroller is loaded for programmably plural-cycle short-time on-and-off switching for savings run times intermediate temperature-band on-call extremes and temperature-band mediums of a temperature-band fluctuation selectively. A timing controller (60) of on-and-off switching by the micro controller overrides switching control by the conventional thermostat with short-time cycling of on-and-off switching and returns switching control to the conventional thermostat automatically by delay of timing of on-switching to proximate on-switching timing by the conventional thermostat. This is a failsafe control circuitry (12) in event of failure of or intentional overriding of the energy conservation moderating system.

    摘要: An air-conditioning system has an air-conditioning unit and a controller which includes a timer setting unit for establishing data including at least one time zone in the time of one day and an operation status in the time zone for the air-conditioning unit. The controller also has a memory for storing the data established by the timer setting means, and operation control unit for controlling operation of the air-conditioning unit according to the data stored by the memory. The timer setting unit includes a first setting unit for establishing the data altogether for all days of the week, a second setting unit for establishing the data for a plurality of groups divided from the days of the week, and a third setting unit for establishing the data individually for the days of the week. The first, second, and third setting units are selected by the timer setting unit to establish the data. Each time new data is established by either one of the first, second, and third setting units. The timer setting unit corrects the data stored by the memory into the new data and stores the new data in the memory.

    摘要: An apparatus and method is provided for discharging ash from a plurality of fossil-fuel boiler hoppers through actuator opened gate valves by opening only selected gate valves during a given discharge cycle and bypassing other hoppers. The time required to discharge a given hopper is determined and compared with a desired time range that would be required to discharge the hopper, if the hopper was filled to a desired percentage. Opening of a given hopper during subsequent cycles is based on a comparison of the actual discharge time with a desired discharge time range. If the actual discharge time is less than the minimum time of the desired time range, a time increment is assigned to the given hopper, and the hopper is bypassed on subsequent cycles until the assigned time increment has expired.

The temporary mode of operation preferably can be selected during any other mode of operation and after the expiration of the selected period of time for temporary fan on operation, the thermostat returns to the mode of operation of the fan that it should be in based on a programmed schedule of the thermostat. Selection of a predetermined period of time and activation of the temporary mode results in operation of the air circulating fan for that selected period of time.
