    摘要: A blower for a furnace is provided where the blower has an impeller that is configured to create a primary air flow of combustion air into the blower housing and a secondary air flow of cooling air through the blower motor. The primary air flow of combustion air into the furnace generates hot exhaust gases for a heat exchanger in the furnace. The secondary air flow cools the blower motor. The secondary air flow is mixed with the hot exhaust gases in the blower housing and cools the exhaust gases before being discharged from the blower housing.

    摘要: A bypass hole is cut into a collector box cover to reduce the efficiency of a draft inducer fan when the fan is used with a furnace containing fewer burner-heat exchanger cells than the fan is optimally suited for. Thus the same inducer fan can be used for both a two-cell and three-cell furnace. A method for adjusting airflow in a draft inducer for a furnace includes collecting flue gasses from the heat exchanger cells, inducing a draft by moving the flue gasses from a collector box, through a housing, and out of an exhaust hole, and taking a portion of the flue gasses in the housing and re-entering the portion of flue gasses into the collector box instead of exhausting the portion of said flue gasses to the outside.

The heat sink comprises a plurality of heat dissipating plates, formed by stamping, that are axially stacked over one another while being angularly rotated relative to one another to form a spiral and stepped shape, each heat dissipating plate being further provided with a plurality of convection holes. The heat dissipating module further includes a fan and a guiding plate to achieve optimal heat dissipation performance. Since the heat sink is principally formed by stamping with an increased surface area, the manufacture cost is reduced while the heat dissipation effects are improved.

    摘要: A heater control system is operable to modulate a heater of a building or warehouse or the like, in order to maintain the temperature rise of air passing through the heater at or below a maximum allowable temperature rise value. The maximum allowable temperature rise value is determined by a percentage or proportion of outside air being inducted into the heater and the type of heater, in order to limit the accumulation of carbon dioxide within the building. The control system is operable to modulate the heater in response to an outside air temperature, an inside or return air temperature, and the proportion of outside air to return air being inducted into the heater. Preferably, the proportion of outside air is determined by a position of a damper, which is operable to vary the relative flows of outdoor air and return air which are inducted into the heater. The control system monitors the temperature of the discharge air from the heater and modulates the heater to maintain the discharge air temperature below a value based on the maximum allowable temperature rise, the indoor and outdoor air temperatures, and the proportion of outdoor air being inducted into the heater. Optionally, the control may adjust a position of the damper to maintain the temperature rise below the maximum allowable temperature rise. The present invention thus provides a low cost control system which ensures that the temperature rise of air passing through the heater is maintained below the maximum allowable value for any given proportion of outdoor air being inducted therein.

    摘要: A fuel-fired, forced draft air heating furnace has a draft inducer fan disposed in a vestibule chamber having an exterior wall with an air intake opening therein. During operation of the draft inducer fan its motor is cooled by combustion air drawn inwardly through the air intake opening. To enhance the combustion air cooling of the draft inducer fan motor, a deflection plate is supported within the vestibule chamber in an inwardly spaced apart, facing relationship with the air intake opening. A portion of the combustion air flowing inwardly through the air intake opening impinges on and is redirected by the plate toward the motor via a substantially unenclosed flow path within the vestibule chamber.

    摘要: A hot airflow generation device supplies hot airflows toward a heat-shrinkage film wrapping around an article for heating and shrinking the film to form a package on the article. The hot airflow generation device includes a casing defining a channel through which the article wrapped by the heat-shrinkage film is conveyed. A hood is arranged inside the casing and forms air passages with the casing. Each air passage forms an exit opening. The hood includes walls forming an air intake port in communication with the air passages. An air fan is mounted to the hood for drawing air into the air intake port and driving the air into the air passages. Electric heaters are arranged inside the air passages for heating air flowing therethrough. Air that is drawn into the air intake port and driven through the air passages is heated by the heaters and becomes hot airflow that flow toward the article through the exit openings. The air bounces from the article and is drawn into the air intake port and the air passages again for circulation and being heated again. An airflow guide board is rotatably mounted in each air passage for controlling air flow rate and direction through the associated exit opening.
