摘要: A water heater includes a case, and a water line disposed within the case. The water line extends between an inlet and an outlet, and a heat exchanger is disposed in the case on the water line. A burner is disposed in the case, and a controller is also disposed in the case. A flue is coupled to the case. The flue defines an exhaust outlet contiguous with external air. The flue includes a temperature sensor, a fan, and a plate disposed within the flue. The plate is configured to rotate within the flue between an open position and a closed position. Also included in the case is a heating element coupled to the water line between the inlet and the outlet of the water line. The controller is in signal communication with the temperature sensor and the fan, and the controller is in operative communication with the heating element.

摘要: A heater comprises a combustion chamber and a jacket extending about the combustion chamber. There is a fan having an output which communicates with the combustion chamber to provide combustion air. There is also a fuel delivery system having a variable delivery rate. A burner assembly is connected to the combustion chamber. The burner assembly has a burner mounted thereon adjacent the combustion chamber. The burner receives fuel from the fuel delivery system. There is an exhaust system extending from the combustion chamber. An oxygen sensor is positioned in the exhaust system to detect oxygen content of exhaust gases. There is a control system operatively coupled to the oxygen sensor and the fuel delivery system. The control system controls the delivery rate of the fuel delivery system according to the oxygen content of the exhaust gases.

摘要: Apparatuses of an energy efficient water heater and methods for controlling the same are disclosed. In one embodiment, a water heater may include a water inlet configured to receive input water, an input water temperature sensor configured to detect a temperature of the input water, a user interface unit configured to receive an output water temperature setting selected by a user, a controller configured to determine a flow rate of an output water based on the input water temperature and the output water temperature setting, a heating unit configured to heat the input water to produce the output water, the controller is further configured to control the heating unit and a proportional flow restrictor to produce the flow rate of the output water, and a water outlet configured to transfer the output water at the flow rate of the output water.

摘要: A water heater may include a water tank, a burner, a pilot for igniting the burner, an ignitor for igniting the pilot, a thermoelectric device in thermal communication with a flame of the pilot, a controller for controlling an ignition sequence of the pilot using the ignitor, and a rechargeable power storage device for supplying power to the ignitor and the controller. The rechargeable power storage device may be rechargeable using the energy produced by the thermoelectric device. The controller is configured to selectively run only the pilot for at least part of a heating cycle to increase the recharge time of the rechargeable power storage device while still heating the water in the water heater.

摘要: The disclosed technology includes a combustion system providing ease of access to components of the combustion system and optimal placement of a burner such that efficient combustion and heat transfer can occur. The combustion system can include an inner tube having a first end and a second end, the second end having a flange with a sensor port, and an outer tube having a first end and a second end. The inner tube can be disposed within the outer tube. The inner tube can have an outer diameter less than an inner diameter of the outer tube, creating a gap between the outer tube and inner tube. An ignitor assembly and a flame sensor assembly can extend through the sensor port and the gap and be positioned proximate a burner.
