摘要: In an aspect, an HVAC system includes an inducer motor to provide combustion airflow, and a pressure sensor to measure an output airflow pressure of the inducer motor. The HVAC system may initiate the inducer motor, and receive a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal from the inducer motor, wherein the PWM signal indicates a PWM signal of the inducer motor corresponding to a predetermined airflow pressure of the inducer motor and measured by the pressure sensor. The HVAC system may compare the PWM signal to a baseline value, and control the inducer motor based on the comparing of the PWM signal to the baseline value. The HVAC system may also generate a status notification of the combustion airflow of the HVAC system in response to the comparing the PWM signal to the baseline value.

摘要: A burner includes an atomizing chamber, a flame tube in front of the atomizing chamber adapted to direct combusting fuel introduced by the atomizing chamber along an interior of the flame tube, and a controller. The controller is programmed to independently control rate of fuel flow to the atomizing chamber, rate of atomizing air flow to the atomizing chamber, and rate of combustion air to the flame tub. The controller is also programmed to perform operations including regulating, based on output of a gas sensor, at least the rate of combustion air to the flame tube to substantially maintain a first predetermined amount of excess air in the flame tube.

摘要: A flame analytics system that may incorporate a burner, one or more sensors at the burner, a historical database connected to the one or more sensors, a model training module connected to the historical database, and a runtime algorithm module connected to the one or more sensors and the model training module. The runtime algorithm may compare realtime data from the one or more sensors and historical data from the model training module in accordance with a machine learning algorithm. The system may further incorporate a fault detection module connected to the runtime algorithm module, a fault diagnostics module connected to the fault detection module, and an enunciator connected to the fault detection module. The one or more sensors may also include having video or acoustic sensitivity of combustion in the burner.

摘要: A water heater control system comprising an energy storage system electrically connected to a pilot valve operator and electrically isolated from a main valve operator. The energy storage system may be electrically connected to an ignition circuit. A thermoelectric device is in thermal communication with the pilot flame and electrically connected to a main valve operator. The water heater system may include a microcontroller configured to establish electrical communications between the device and the energy storage system, the pilot valve operator, and the main valve operator. The microcontroller may be configured to recognize a call for main burner operation, and may also be configured to check an available voltage of the energy storage system against a setpoint. The microcontroller may establish pilot flame operation with or without main burner operation, depending on whether a call for heat or recharging of the energy storage system is required.

摘要: A method for controlling a gas furnace including measuring an indoor temperature, comparing the indoor temperature with a set temperature for heating, and operating the gas furnace in weak heating with a predetermined heating capacity, which is lower than a maximum heating capacity of the gas furnace, when the set temperature for heating is higher than the indoor temperature by a temperature value, which is less than a predetermined temperature value. The predetermined heating capacity for weak heating is maintained at a current heating capacity for weak heating, when the gas furnace operates in weak heating, and when an operating duration with the current heating capacity for weak heating is less than a first time value.

摘要: Systems and methods for monitoring emissions of a combusted gas are provided. The method includes determining a first net heating value of a flare gas. The method also includes determining a second net heating value of a combustion gas including the flare gas. The second net heating value can be determined based upon the first net heating value and a volumetric flow rate of the flare gas. Based upon the value of the second net heating value, an empirical model or a non-parametric machine learning model can be selected. A combustion efficiency of the combustion gas can be determined using the selected model, the second net heating value, and selected ones of the process conditions and the environmental conditions. Total emissions of the combustion mixture can be further determined from the combustion efficiency and a volumetric flow rate of the combustion gas.

摘要: Various embodiments include a method for controlling a combustion device comprising a first combustion sensor and a second sensor. An example includes: specifying a first setpoint value for the first sensor for a first fuel; controlling the combustion device to the first setpoint value; recording a first value of the signal from the first combustion sensor and a second value of the signal from the second sensor; determining a second fuel as a function of the first signal and the second signal; comparing a composition of the first fuel to a composition of the second fuel; and, if the second fuel is of a different composition from the first fuel, determining a second setpoint value for the signal from the first combustion sensor as a function of the second fuel and adjusting the combustion device using the first combustion sensor to the second setpoint value for the signal from the first combustion sensor; else making no further adjustment.

摘要: Disclosed are systems and methods for automated furnace inducer sensor output verification. A furnace may include a sensor, such as a transducer, that may be used to measure pressure within the furnace (for example, pressure resulting from the operation of a draft inducer blower and/or any other component of the furnace). It is possible that the data produced by the sensor may remain relatively fixed for a given period of time. However, this makes it difficult to determine if the data is valid or if the sensor is malfunctioning. Given this, an algorithm is used to change a motor speed of the inducer blower. The subsequent data that is produced by the sensor is then monitored to determine if an expected change in the data occurs. If the change does not occur, then it may be determined that the sensor is malfunctioning.
