    摘要: A motorized mirror actuator is disclosed which includes a movable ramp having upwardly facing angled surfaces for urging a cam element in and out of the normal viewing position, thereby moving the rear view mirror into a position which will enable the driver to see his blind spot. A small electric motor is sufficient to drive the mirror in and out of the appropriate angle for viewing the “blind spot” for the driver of the vehicle.

    摘要: An optical system with improved boresight stability having optical elements and a beam expander oriented on a chassis, wherein the beam expander is mounted for minimal movement. By minimizing movement of the beam expander, the angular error of a laser beam travelling through the optical system and subject to various angular tilt errors is reduced by an amount inversely proportional to the magnification ratio of the beam expander based on optical principles. In one embodiment the beam expander is mounted on a highly stiff location on the chassis and away from thermal stresses. Another embodiment is to mount the beam expander to a structural support of a higher assembly. The present invention isolates the beam expander from the instability of individual optical elements and from deformation of the optical bench that impairs the performance and diminishes benefits otherwise gained from the optical principles.

    摘要: In a vehicle door mirror device, a bracket is divided into a frame and a case member. Thus, the frame and the like for a vehicle right side and for a vehicle left side can both hold a mirror at a vehicle rear side thereof. A mounting hole and a supporting hole of a case member are provided to be symmetrical with respect to a vertical plane which passes through a widthwise direction center of the case member. Thus, even if a common case member is used both for a vehicle right side and for a vehicle left side by left and right sides of the case member being reversed, the mounting hole of the case member can be mounted to the frame and the like for the vehicle right side and the vehicle left side.

    摘要: A motorcycle rear view mirror assembly for addition to motorcycles and like vehicles providing a view of both the rear sides, and directly behind and adjacent to the rear of the motorcycle which will increase the safety of the operator when changing lanes and will make the rider aware of vehicles approaching too close behind them. The device features a first mirror positionable to an angle to reflect the area to the side of a motorcycle into the view of the rider and a second mirror attached to said assembly adjacent to an outside edge of first mirror and a provision for adjustment of the face of the second mirror toward the inside edge of the first mirror to an operative angle between 3 and 25 degrees. When positioned to the operative angle, the second mirror reflects the area immediately adjacent to the rear of the motorcycle and concurrently the first mirror reflects the area to one or both sides of the motorcycle allowing the rider of said motorcycle to view, concurrently, the areas to the side of the motorcycle and the area immediately adjacent to the rear of the motorcycle.

    摘要: The invention relates to a tube for an optical instrument, such as a microscope, having several rotary joints (19, 20, 21) connected serially one behind the other. Each of the rotary joints (19, 20, 21) includes a brake (32, 33, 38) via which the rotary joints are secured against an unintended rotation. The brakes of the rotary joints (19, 20, 21), which are connected serially one behind the other, are simultaneously releasable by actuation of the single operator lever (39). For this purpose, a system of pins (42) and tilt levers (43) is mounted in the tube via which the actuation of the operator element (39) is transmitted to the brakes (32, 33, 38) connected serially one behind the other.
