    摘要: A film cover covers an exposure surface of a film unit to lighttightly block an exposure opening and is ejected from a discharge port. A bending guide groove is formed on the outside of an accompanying prevention rib in a width direction of a cover member along the accompanying prevention rib. The bending guide groove tilts a side edge portion, which is a distal end portion of the film cover, and the portion outside the accompanying prevention rib, in a protruding direction of the accompanying prevention rib. Since the side edge portion is bent by the bending guide groove, the both side edges portions do not engage with the discharge port, and the film cover can be ejected smoothly from the discharge port.

    摘要: A method of producing a radiation-induced colorant transfer image on a support, includes the steps of: providing an image-receiving element comprising a support having thereon an image-receiving layer; providing a colorant donor element having a colorant transfer layer on a colorant element support and wherein colorant can be transferred from a transfer surface of the colorant donor element to the image-receiving layer in response to selectively applied radiation; providing a rigid element being configured to provide a surface having peaks and valleys; pressing either the colorant element support surface or the image-receiving support surface against the rigid element so as to cause either the colorant transfer layer surface or the image-receiving surface, respectively, to conformally have peaks and valleys; causing the peaks of the colorant transfer layer or the image-receiving layer to engage either the image-receiving element or the colorant donor element, respectively; and applying radiation to the colorant element support to cause colorant to transfer in the space between the image-receiving element and the colorant transfer layer surface corresponding to the valleys in the colorant transfer surface or image-receiving surface.

    摘要: A process for image formation by silver salt diffusion transfer which comprises developing an imagewise exposed photosensitive element containing a photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer with an alkaline processing element containing a silver halide solvent to thereby convert at least part of the silver halide present in the unexposed area of the emulsion layer into a transferable silver complex and then transferring at least part of the silver complex to an image-receiving element containing an image-receiving layer containing silver-precipitating nuclei to thereby form an image on the image-receiving element, said silver halide emulsion contained in the silver halide emulsion layer in the photosensitive element being a tabular grain emulsion which is obtained by chemically sensitizing tabular silver halide grains and depositing a silver iodobromide having a silver iodide content of from 2 to 15 mol % on the surface of the resulting grains in an amount of from 3 to 20 mol % and which has a total average silver iodide content of from 0.5 to 3.5 mol % and an average aspect ratio of from 2 to 20, and said photosensitive element, image-receiving element, and processing element satisfying the relationship shown by the following equation (1):(Ts+Tr).times.5.ltoreq.D.ltoreq.(Ts+Tr).times.5+20 (1)wherein Ts (.mu.m) is the thickness of the photosensitive element on the silver halide emulsion layer side, excluding a support, Tr (.mu.m) is the thickness of the silver-precipitating-nuclei-containing image-receiving layer in the image-receiving element, and D (.mu.m) is the thickness of the spread liquid of the processing element.

    摘要: A self-processing film unit including a sheet-like photosensitive film component as provided with a liquid applicator holding a supply of low viscosity processing liquid that is to be applied to a given area of an outer surface of the film component, following its exposure, to initiate processing. The applicator comprises a liquid and air impervious sheet carrying on one surface thereof means holding a substantially uniformly distributed supply of processing liquid. The applicator is initially provided on one end of the film component in a releasably sealed folded configuration wherein the impervious sheet forms an impervious enclosure about the liquid holding means and it is movable therefrom to an unsealed extended configuration to locate the liquid holding means in liquid yielding contact with the given area of the film component outer surface.

    摘要: An elongated filmstrip is provided having two superposed sheets of photographic material helically wound in a cartridge. Typically, one of the sheets is a photosensitive image receiver and the other is a coated processing web. The lateral edges of the filmstrip are sealed to inhibit leakage of processing composition which is spread between the sheets during image development. The sheet which is on the outside of each roll convolution will have a longer path length than the inner sheet, and has sufficient elasticity to accommodate the path length difference. The elastic sheet is provided with a strippable, relatively non-elastic support before being transported through the coating machinery. The sheet, together with its coating and non-elastic support is then adhered to the other sheet of the filmstrip and the support then removed.
