摘要: A machine part, such as a laser, is moved along at least one axis of movement relative to a workpiece. Position pulses are generated by means of an incremental encoder, with the number of position pulses in a position pulse train being representative of the movement position of the machine part. A trigger signal for the machine part is generated when the current number of position pulses corresponds to a predefined number of pulses. In a preferred embodiment, the current number of position pulses and the defined number of pulses are compared remote from a higher-level drive control circuit. It is particularly preferred if the current number of position pulses and the defined number of pulses are compared in a comparator which is arranged on an interface card of a computer unit, with the drive control circuit for controlling the movement of the machine part being implemented with a closed loop controller in the form of a controller program, which is cyclically executed by a central processor of the computer unit.

摘要: An automatic digital system is disclosed for controlling the duration and frequency of application of water to a lawn or the like. The system includes a keyboard to facilitate programming and/or reprogramming of both the duration and frequency of watering and one or more sets of memory circuits are included in the system to store various programs to be utilized. A digital clock controls operation of time control and generating circuitry to provide outputs to comparators along with outputs from the memory circuits to effect the desired control of solenoids establishing the duration and frequency of watering. Each set of memory circuits includes a plurality of watering stations each of which can be individually and sequentially actuated by the control system and each of which stations can have a plurality of sprinkler heads. By use of a plurality of sets of memory circuits, different watering programs can be carried out at different times as, for example, on different days of the week, and, by use of repeater circuitry, the particular watering program can be repeated as, for example, to occur several times during each day, or caused to occur only at selected intervals as, for example, every second day or the like. An LED display is also provided at the keyboard to facilitate programming and control of watering.

摘要: The invention relates to a method and circuitry for continuously evaluating deviations between the measured value and the desired value of a quantity occurring in the form of a sequence of pulses. A counter which functions according to the Aiken code is preset to the complement of a particular desired value, the measured value is fed in the form of a sequence of pulses into the preset counter during a definite interval of time and the difference between the measured value and the desired value is transferred in the form of an Aiken coded number during a second time interval to a memory unit. The Aiken coded number in the memory is then inverted if there has been non-transition through the zero by the counter, the number which is then delivered by the memory being given a polarity opposite to that which would result from a zero transition.
