    摘要: Disclosed is a power control circuit utilizable in an electronic device. The power control circuit includes a power on/off switch having first and second switches; a capacitive element connected to a power section via the first switch; a first switching element connected to the power section via the second switch; a microcomputer for controlling power on/off of the first switching element; and a second switching element provided between the power section and each of the microcomputer and a predetermined circuit block. The microcomputer is programmed to control the power control circuit such that, when supplying power to the microcomputer, the microcomputer holds a power-on state of the first switching element before the first switching element is turned off because of the discharge of the electric charge, and then, when the microcomputer detects that the predetermined circuit block has not operated for a given period of time, the microcomputer turns off the first switching element.

    摘要: An apparatus for rotationally adjusting a cam, that includes an adjustment pinion having a number of missing teeth that couple to an integral gear formed on a rotatable cam. The adjustment pinion is used to manually adjust the angular position of the rotatable cam relative to the rotatable cam's axis of rotation. When the missing teeth of the adjustment pinion disengage from the gear integral to the cam, rotation of the adjustment pinion ceases. The adjustment apparatus may be readily incorporated into a programmer/timer.

    摘要: The present invention provides a method and product-by-method of integrating a bias resistor in circuit with a bottom electrode of a micro-electromechanical switch on a silicon substrate. The resistor and bottom electrode are formed simultaneously by first sequentially depositing a layer of a resistor material (320), a hard mask material (330) and a metal material (340) on a silicon substrate forming a stack. The bottom electrode and resistor lengths are subsequently patterned and etched (350) followed by a second etching (360) process to remove the hard mask and metal materials from the defined resistor length. Finally, in a preferred embodiment, the bottom electrode and resistor structure is encapsulated with a layer of dielectric which is patterned and etched (370) to correspond to the defined bottom electrode and resistor.

The microprocessor monitors all functions of the mechanism and includes a first failsafe circuit that shuts down the mechanism in the event of malfunction. A second failsafe circuit monitors the first failsafe circuit, and bypasses it to shut down the mechanism in the event of malfunction in the first failsafe circuit.

The program carrier is rotatably mounted to a front side of the housing, concentric with the housing. The knob has a single ended, bar-shaped operating handle on a front face thereof. The program carrier has a central opening through which the operating handle is seated.
