    摘要: Bradbury-Nielson gates for the modulation of beams of charged particles, particularly ion beams in mass spectrometry, have been produced with an adjustable wire spacing down to 0.075 mm or a smaller spacing. The gates are robust, they can be fabricated in less than 3 hours, and the method of production is reproducible. In time-off-light mass spectrometers, fine wire spacing leads to improvements in mass resolution and modulation rates. Gates that were produced using this new method have been installed in a Hadamard transform time-of-flight mass spectrometer in order to demonstrate their utility.

    摘要: Disclosed is an electrode for an electron source, a method for producing the same, and an electronic tube using the same which provide a decreased thickness of an electron emitting source, and an improved current distribution percentage. The electronic tube comprises a substrate, an electron emitting source area formed on the substrate, and a shield area around the electron emitting area. The shield area is formed of a material that does not produce an electron emitting source, when the electron emitting source is produced by a dry method. As a result, if a space between an electron drawing electrode and the electrode for the electron source is narrow, the percentage of anode current increases in the total current, thereby improving the current distribution percentage.

The helical electron beam produced by this device can be targeted to tumors better and safer and reduce the amount of radiation hitting normal tissue than current devices.

    摘要: High-voltage power supplies used in a Cathode Ray Tube (nullCRTnull) manufacturing process should be protected from residue, dust and other contaminants. This will prevent possible damage to the voltage power supply and danger to people and equipment that can result from operation of a dirty voltage power supply. A protective housing made of a non-conductive, insulating material is used to encase and protect the voltage power supplies used in a CRT manufacturing process. This protective housing protects those voltage power supplies from degradation or damage due to the dust, residue or other contaminants that arise from the CRT manufacturing process. A cooling system may be incorporated into the housing to manage thermal energy generated by the voltage power supply unit.

The display screen is substantially encased within a conductive shield formed by the housing around the display screen, a rear housing and a conductive coating or layer over the front face of a PCB panel on which light-emitting elements may be mounted.     摘要: To provide a method using compact, simple, lightweight apparatus, for canceling the effects, on a charged particle beam optical system, of magnetic fields external to the system, and of fields formed on the outer skin of a beam tube of the particle beam exposure system. External magnetic fields penetrate through the openings A, B, and C to the optical axis of the charged particle beam exposure system, disrupting the operation of the charged particle beam optical system. In this mode of the invention, as shown in the drawing, the coils 5, 6, and 7 are wound horizontally, on the illumination optical system beam tube 1 and the exposure optical system beam tube 2. Currents flowing in these coils can therefore create magnetic fields parallel to the optical axis such as to cancel external magnetic fields in that direction.. Each of the three coils (5, 6, and 7) in FIG. 3 are driven by separate power supplies capable of adjusting the individual coil currents as required to minimize the effects of flux leakage on the beam.
